Mr. Atwood was recommended to us by the attorney in Memphis who drew up a trust for my Mother. She said that he was very knowledgeable about Texas laws governing Trusts and Estates. We found that to be very true. We explained our situation to him and that our primary aim was to make it as easy as possible for our executor to close out our estate without having to go through the Probate Court. Mr. Atwood gave us some forms to fill out that would let him know what assets we had and how we wanted our assets to be disbursed to our children and grandchildren. He provided us with the cost we would probably incur in his firm drawing up our wills and trust. He provided us with the documents to give us a chance to ask questions and make any changes we wanted. Over a period of a couple of months we reviewed the documents and had many conversations with Elizabeth Carlson who was also very professional and knowledgeable. We also had conference calls with both of these kind, patients professionals. We are both very comfortable with the final documents. The final cost was the exact figure we were provided months earlier. We can and will give this firm an excellent reference to anyone seeking help with Trust and Estates matters.
