I hired Douglas Huff with Hamilton Grant after interviewing 4 attorneys following my arrest for a serious DWI with a high BAC. I was devastated, embarrassed, and disappointed in myself. I never thought that in my mid-30s with a husband and children at home I would find myself in such a scary and unfamiliar situation. Doug spent extra time talking with me about the case, answered my many questions, and asked me several detailed questions of his own. Having worked in another area of the legal field for 10 years, I had a high expectation that Hamilton Grant was able to meet and exceed. The legal team is knowledgeable in their field, accessible to address questions and concerns, friendly, professional, compassionate, organized, and results-driven. With their help, I was able to retain my driver's license for the 21-month period between my arrest and the final hearing in my case. I was also able to avoid going to jail. Perhaps equally important, it was during this time that I decided to stop drinking alcohol. When I spoke to Doug periodically about my case, he'd also ask how my treatment was going. I sincerely appreciated that he cared about my well-being as well as my case. I can hindsight and realize that the lessons I learned and the sobriety I gained over the course of the 21 months that this case pended are something I cannot put a price tag on. I am truly grateful for Doug and Cheryl's help.

I was very pleased with my representation from Doug Huff and his firm. He took the time to thoroughly explain the court process, as well as my options along the way and possible outcomes. Being located out of state, he was also especially helpful in minimizing the times I had to physically appear in court. Ultimately, he negotiated a plea deal for me that reduced my felony charge to a misdemeanor with probation and deferred adjudication. All things considered, this was a very good outcome and I consider myself fortunate to have had him on my side throughout my case.

Two of my step daughters were disciplined by me for peeing on themselves. One being 14 and the other 9 at the time. them telling me they liked doing it led to them getting spanked. unbeknownst to me i left marks. I was charged with 2 felonies for child endangerment. Douglas immediately went to work. I was a long process but he kept me included in everything. I had to leave the home until my case was dropped. during this time my mother died and Doug made me feel at ease even at my worst time. I am so glad that i considered him to be my lawyer. I do not know where i would be if he was not. I am now back in the home working diligently on bettering the relationship with my daughters. I am grateful for Doug. Both felonies were dropped within the year. A home run.

To make a long complicated story short, Douglas was able to get my felony case dismissed. This was never something I expected. He got this dismissed in a very short period as well. I would use Douglas again and would refer him to my friends and family any day of the week. I truly cannot say enough kind things about Douglas. Hire him today, you will not be sorry.....

I was so incredibly upset about my situation. At every step of the way Douglas kept me informed and assured me that he would get me through this hard time, that was exactly what happened. I am happy to say I am through the worst of it with his help. He kept me sane and took calls and emails at all times, day/night/weekends as well.

Mr. Huff was my court appointed lawyer and soon a syou hear those words your like oh lprd because i have seen peoople getscrewed by their attorney for lack of no how but he was excellent...We exhausted all my options, he was very attentive and if I missed a deadline he worked with me. He was friendly professional and assertive.

Douglas was a professional to say the least in handling my case. From my first meeting/consultation to the last he was very insightful and knowledgeable of how to attack my case from every angle and we did just that and what came of it was the best senario possible! Doug and his firm did a great job with my DWI case they took initiative in the beginning of my case that in the end got my case dismissed.That and Doug was brillant in court

I cannot begin to tell you how GREAT Doug is, from the very beginning with my DWI case as I interviewed various attorneys he was genuinely concerned. I at first made the mistake of hiring another firm for my ALR hearing. Make no mistake when it comes to a DWI hearing and your license don't go for the ambulance chasers. I did & boy was that an ENORMOUS mistake. I ended up going back to Doug & I should have paid attention to my initial gut instinct, I came back to him and he immediately jumped into my case and I gave him very little notice. Doug really cares and is extremely diligent in reviewing all the information on your case. I had over 20+ hours of videos that were taken with my case. Doug always made me comfortable in spending time with me and addressing all my questions and concerns and is extremely caring. I cannot tell you how glad I am that I ended up hiring him to defend me & I strongly recommend that you hire him if you find yourself in my predicament...I hope I am never in this same position ever. Trust me DO NOT go with the ambulance chasers or I should say DWI chasers that promise the world, you are just another number. Another issue is if you are in Collin County you almost literally have zero chance of getting your ALR hearing or a deal on your DWI that would actually dismiss your case. My now ex-husband went through this over 17 years ago and the D.A. ALWAYS prosecutes EVERY CASE. If you are in Dallas County you might have a chance of getting it dismissed...but in Collin County you have about ZERO chance of that happening. Take my advice, get the best legal representation you can get and that would be Doug. He formerly used to tutor individuals on how to pass the bar.

Mr. Huff is a great guy to hire. From the time he received my case he told me the few options he saw that could resolve my case in the good for me. We schedule the next date and by that time he came back with an options I couldn't refuse. He was able to get the case drop all said and done. I would personally recommend him to anyone in need of his kind of work. I would hire him again myself.

In December 2016,on Christmas Eve, I made a bad decision and ended up getting into a little bit of trouble. I went before the judge. I was indigent at the time so I requested a court appointed attorney. I was dreading who would be assigned to me as my criminal defense lawyer. You just never know who you will get when you get a court appointed attorney. A lot of the court appointed attorneys are not very personable, they act like they don't really care about you, what happens to you, or your case, and make you feel as if your case is a hassle for them. It's much more desirable to be able to choose your defense attorney. To say the least...I was a little nervous when meeting Mr. Huff for the first time. From the first moment we met, I could tell Mr. Huff was caring, personable, and would do anything possible to ensure I received the minimum punishment for my crime. He kept me well informed, he put time and effort in the handling of my case, he worked with my in regards to court dates and payments, and he actually cared about my case and what was going to happen to me. He was able to get my sentence reduced to a disorderly conduct, a fine of about $500, and only 90 days of probation without having to check in. I would highly recommend Mr. Douglas Huff to anyone in need of a proficient criminal defense attorney. He excels as a leading criminal defense attorney! Hopefully I will not be in need of a criminal defense attorney, but if ever I find myself in a sticky criminal situation...I know who I will be hiring.
