Van Wey Law took great care of my mom when she was going through one of the toughest times in her life. Kay Van Wey is a very experienced lawyer with a compassionate heart for her clients and their family. Kay, nor her staff, made my mom feel like she was just another client. If my mom didn’t understand something, they were more than happy to explain to me (with my mom’s consent) so I could break it down for my mom. I reached out to Van Wey Law on behalf of an employee that possibly experienced medical malpractice. I chatted with someone through the website and was told I would receive a phone call "right now." I waited...and waited. No call. I chatted again with a different person through the website, they again said I would receive a call but I didn't. I think they outsource their chat to someone overseas. I then called directly and was transferred to Laura N. She had a difficult time understanding the situation which was very frustrating. I told her I will call her back with my employee on the phone so she can explain her situation and seek legal counsel. Laura gave me her direct phone number. I called back the next day and left a voicemail for Laura. I never received a call back or follow-up. Then today I received an email saying they didn't have enough information and could not represent my employee. Well, correct, you don't have enough information because no one calls back and cares to get more information. This firm is not run well. Van Wey Law seeks to represent people that are going through a very tough time in their lives and manages to only make it more frustrating and difficult. I would recommend you seek a different firm for counsel.

wonderful customer service, very warm and caring. Obviously fighting the medical bureaucracy is not easy at all, but I personally believe if anyone would be able to help you and your family, it would be Kay.

*Be warned*. The one and only thing they do is first take your signature about 33%-45% legal fee. The rest is all nice words for months and months. I understand some (Insurance, Lawyers, Doctors) need to get paid - BUT what is definitely worst with Van Wey Law is that you will never get anything from it all. And I mean no help with health care nor bill negotiation. The legal assistants like Peggy will always be in a hurry to throw you off her plate when you need help or when you have a question. I was assigned 2 lawyers both of who QUIT the Van Wey firm before my case was sent out to another Law Firm who took their own sweet course months and months of so called 'action'. After 2 years or painful treatment and haggling back and forth between doctors and treatments:the end result: the 2 law firms made their solid cut, the insurance companies paid their ABSOLUTE-MINIMAL, the doctors, hospitals, and providers got all their bloated bills paid from my claim. You get couple hundred dollars for a life altering injury, and no support what-so-ever, for a case where the person at fault admitted drunk driving fault right at scene and in the police report. Stay far away from such greedy places - and no - it's NOT your money you should be worried, it's your time and health.

Kay and her staff have made a difficult and scary process as simple as that initial phone call to their offices! Peggy Blake stayed right on the mark and helped me recover a settlement quickly. I could never have done any of the work that they made seem so effortless.
