I was in desperate need of a divorce lawyer, but I did not know how to go about choosing a lawyer that best suited my needs. I had done multiple internet searches, asked for referrals, and even tried to proceed with the divorce by myself without legal help twice. Still, I always found myself in a situation too intricate and challenging to overcome. However, after unexpectedly discovering and seeing the large illuminated sign in the lobby of the building where this law office is located, which said, “Divorce. Simplified,” I knew that this was what I needed, simplification. After contacting this law office, I received prompt and empathetic assistance for my divorce. The team quickly offered solutions and connected me with a paralegal, Amanda, who thoroughly outlined the journey ahead. Both Amanda and Chris were instrumental, accessible, and practical throughout the process. Their support helped me successfully achieve what I sought, and for that, I am eternally grateful. From the first phone call, the Chris Schmiedeke Divorce Law Office made me feel not just like another client, but a personal friend and an important person to them. Every professional who worked on my case was knowledgeable, reliable and most of all, non-judgmental. They were supportive and listened to everything I said and made it happen. This office did not push me to hire them. I was given time to think about working with them, gave me every opportunity to discuss my concerns with Amanda, Shelly, the paralegal associates. I absolutely can not thank Chris and his team enough! I had unfortunately dealt with a couple attorneys before I found Chris Schmiedeke’s office and had wasted a couple thousand dollars for absolutely no help at all. Chris and his team went above and beyond starting at the first initial call and consultation. Everyone in this office actually cares about people and their families and will do anything to help! Amanda was the biggest blessing to my family. She jumped through all kinds of hoops and obstacles to find and terminate parental rights of the other biological parent and made our family official on paper through adoption. Amanda not only stayed in constant contact but she answered any ridiculous question or concern I had. Not only did they not try to squeeze every penny out of the situation but they genuinely care and that in itself is what makes them greater than anyone else out there! None of this even mentions how quickly and on the ball they were with every single step. It was the greatest experience I’ve ever had in a professional setting in a very stressful and emotional situation. If my recommendation isn’t enough, there are hundreds of other families that I’m sure will say the exact same thing.

I had a great experience working with Chris and his staff. While my case was ultimately not resolved by Chris’ practice, it was due to factors that were out of their control and I will also say that things certainly improved with my case while it was under their care. Chris is one of the few who will meet with you to gain an understanding of what is going on in your case and before you’ve put down a fee or a retainer. I sent him a document which was reviewed as we spoke and ultimately felt comfortable enough to sign on immediately following the consultation. This is an honest group of people as well. Legal services are not cheap but you will be given opportunities to reduce your costs a little if you follow steps provided by your assigned attorney or Amanda who serves as the paralegal. I was surprised to receive some of the helpful, cost savings suggestions I did. Now, if you’re lazy and just want to outsource every bit of the work for your divorce these suggestions won’t work. But if you’re that checked out with what is at stake, you’re in trouble anyways. The fees are very reasonable and I was impressed by each of the attorneys I worked with including during courtroom appearances. Most cases settle before reaching that point but mine did not. These attorneys get to the point in the court room and don’t get sucked into the faux anger or putting on a show with excessive displays of emotion. I witnessed nothing but professional behavior out of my representation even in the face of the opposing counsel from one of the larger firms (with higher bill rates) coming unglued in the hallway of the courtroom. You’ll also find each member of the team pleasant to work with and often going beyond to serve you. I always appreciated Shelly’s demeanor when working to coordinate a meeting or the numerous conversations with Amanda when things were heating up. The communication with this team is very strong as well. This is a time consuming and what seems like never ending process but working with this team, you’ll find even a contentious proceeding manageable.

After meeting with a few lawyers, Chris was very honest and direct with my situation. He did not make false and misleading promises and delivered on his expectations for the case. Amanda was great to work with, very organized, and kept me focused during the entire process. I don't know if I could have completed this without her support. Robert and Chris provided great guidance and the results were better than expected. All of them combined are a great team and I would definitely recommend them.

I am literally writing a review, everywhere that I can, so individuals like me, will know that there are law offices that are transparent about divorce. What other firms most experienced lawyer post videos to inform you of questions you have without paying him. I worked with Daniel, and I can not express how beneficial it was to have had him handling my divorce. He is very personable, well-spoken, and stands firm on what he knows. Daniel always gave me a realistic perspective that pertained to my specific situation. I also need to mention that Shelly is also awesome and very professional. And i would need more characters to fully thank Amanda, for her hard work, dedication, and professionalism. It still blows my mind that collectively this team is so efficient, because my case isn’t the only case they are working on. I know that when a divorce is happening there are so many factors you are focused on, don’t let finding a lawyer be the difficult one, just read the reviews.

By far the best experience I've had when it comes to legal matters. No one wants the need to hire a lawyer, but this team has made this difficult ordeal into a simple case.
