In February of 2022 (now April 2023), I was hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk by a young girl that admitted to her insurance that she was on her phone and ran a red light. She ran from the scene and left my mangled body in the middle of the road. I woke up in the hospital with a traumatic brain injury, a broken hip and both my hands nearly destroyed. I contacted Fears in need of representation. I was advised she had no assets, so the only money they had to work with was the 30,000 her insurance covered. My hospital bills were higher, but not by a ton. After over a year of negotiations with the hospitals and clinics, and numerous phone calls asking for updates, I’m told the only way for me to get anything is to not pay a couple of the lower bills that would be better for me to negotiate personally. They made it seem like lowering the $10,000 they’d normally take to $7,500 was doing me a huge favor and even said he can only use his “family discount” once a year. After calling multiple other personal injury firms, they all tell me that they’re entitled to take the full $10,000, but no personal injury with a heart would take more than what their client takes home. Now Im not asking them to work for free.. but after spending over 2 months in a bed from injuries, even longer out of work, and being in massive debt ever since and for the foreseeable future, every attorney Ive spoken to has shamed Fears for what they did to me - where the only money I took home after a year was from debts unpaid, and even still.. not much. A lot less than the $7500 they took from the total for negotiating bills. I ended up in massive debt, while Fears made off with $7,500 of the little amount i was granted from her insurance. Made me want to cry talking with other attorneys and how much they would have helped me. Heartless might sound like a stretch, but I feel like they took advantage of someone in desperate need of help and good representation. The desperation hasn’t ended and wont for some time. At least i got a free deck of cards when I came to pick up my check. Its been a sad couple years.

I appreciated Christopher Pride staying in contact with me and letting me know how the case was moving along. No one likes a car accident; but I understand with all the treatment I had to do it was a little over a year before we settled. Thank you so much for your amazing service and your quality of care for your clients.
