I have retained Richard for a multiple felony cases. It’s still early in the pre trial phase and this isn’t my first rodeo. I have had court appointment lawyers and paid defense. Richard has once never promised anything and is definitely good at under promising and over delivering at this point (some may not understand this as a good thing). I had been arrested for a new cases while on bond for a F1. Richard got me a bond hearing in less than two weeks to get my bond reinstated so that I could resume my life and get back to my business which I employ over 24 people and I’m beyond blessed I didn’t sit a month waiting on a bond hearing like others in the jail had told me. Richard visited me 2x in that period and had one of his lawyers who I was very impressed with handle my bond hearing. He spent over 90 minutes in the Attorney visitation preparing me for my hearing. Several people told me their lawyer didn’t visit them once before a bond hearing. I picked Richard not only for good reviews but I actually liked the fact he has multiple lawyers in his firm. When you have multiple cases it can be good to have multiple lawyers reviewing your case. At least in my experience. I know their are some small one lawyer firms that are awesome but I see this as pro. Also for me he has a TON of experience in Dallas and Collin counties where my cases are which was important for me retaining him. Also his partner has a lot of Dallas County experience. One of my charges is a 3RD DWI which is an F3. So I feel I have the right defense/law firm for my situation. As of right now I might have a shot at probation or I could be going to state prison but Richard has not once promised or guaranteed anything in regards to the outcomes even with how much I have pressed him for one. So that’s a good thing from my experience. Also I have a large bill but Richard is working with me and his terms are reasonable. Just pay balance in full when the case is ready to be disposed. Pretty fair to me. Back to the bond hearing...I was arrested on Friday and Richard was there Monday to get me in front of judge. He had me then set for May 9th but got it move up 2 1/2 weeks which was huge weight off my shoulders. His law firm also called my girlfriend regularly giving her updates and they could always be reached. I know I bounced around a lot but so far I’m happy I have retained his law firm. Oh and also after my 3rd DWI arrest they were already on the ball and got my hearing set up to be scheduled so I can keep my license while on bond. I’m not sure the folks who mentioned lack of communication or all he cares about is money. At the end of the day this is a business and they have to be paid. Yes his pricing for a basic retainer (no trial etc....) is on the higher end but as I mentioned I see my money being put to work. Anyone who says they are better off with a court appointed good luck!!! I saw dudes who had been waiting on bond hearing for 45 days and couldn’t get ahold of their lawyer. We are talking about your freedom and financial ruin while awaiting a case. I’m happy I got Richard defending me and my freedoms for my cases. I will update with the outcomes and I’m sure they will be great as I know Richard wants what’s best for his clients as I already saw him in action with my recent no bond hold in Collin county.

Keep this guys number in your phone. Met him at a party a few years back and figured that it wouldn't hurt to keep his contact. I'm glad I did. He got me out of jail within a few hours so i didn't miss work and took the bull by the horns from there. From start to finish Richard had total control of my case. I never had to worry about what was happening. After a year we set it for trial and we got a dismissal when the jury was in the hallway about to come into the court room. Even the judge said it was some strong legal work and I was luck that I had Richard as my lawyer. My personal lawyer for life!

I’ve been an honest and hard working individual my whole life with a level head on my shoulders. But like all of us I am human and fell victim to a series of poor choices during a hard time in my life. During this time period, I started what I would come to find out would be a collection of DWI’s. My first one was in Houston, where I was caught sleeping in my truck. Regardless of actually driving or not, the keys were in the ignition. I was arrested and charged with DWI and possession of multiple controlled substances. I chose a lawyer that was the father of a close friend. I had faith and trust that being I had zero past troubles in my 30 plus years on earth along with being a corporate national sales rep with a career that this man could get me the best possible outcome. I couldn’t have been farther from the truth. This lawyer drug my case out over a year and yielded me a 2 year probation sentance with all the bells and whistles that go along with such outcome. My wife went with me the last hearing and did more in one sitting with the DA then he did. This cost me a grand total of $3500, and I got exactly what I paid for. During my probation time, I clearly hadn’t learned my lesson and made another poor choice, almost identical, this time I wasn’t sleeping, but pulled over. This violated my probation and racked up a dwi2 along with another possession of a controlled substance. I can’t even begin to explain how scared I was. This time I was a bit more educated on what type of lawyer I did not want to have, but still naive on what type I needed. Luckily I didn’t have to look very long before I found Rick and Brian. Rick had me come in for a consult and was honest, to the point and able to put my mind at some ease for the moment. Over the course of a year and a half, Rick and Brian did nothing less then what one would consider rock star magician tricks. Being I VOP’ed my original dwi, Brian traveled to Houston multiple times and was ultimately able to get my probation reinstated like it never had been violated. This happened because I did what he told me to do. Remember that you clearly have made a series of bad choices to end up where you are, so it’s time to start owning them and making better ones. Like following the advice you’re paying for. During this time period Rick was working my dwi2 in Collin county. Sadly even though I was not using alcohol in these arrest i was still forced at this point to have an alcohol monitoring device as a condition of bond. I strongly advise against using smart start, and going with interlox. I say this being I had issues with smart start. From dealing with them to their equipment. This resulted in having my bond revoked due to an alcohol violation. Once again I was beyond scared. Rick was able to not only resolve this, but it “magically” went away. From being under the assumption I would need to return to court to meet with the judge to being told that the warrant was dropped and bail reinstated with out any more hassle. Long story short, by the end, Rick was able to have my dwi2 reduced to a dwi1, possession charges “magically” vanished and my choice of 1 year probation and minimal fines or 3 days in jail. Keep in mind my original dwi yielded me 180 days in jail or 2 years probation. I took Rick and Brian’s advice, spent 36 hours in custody (total time in jail of a total 6 day sentence ) resolving my over a year nightmare in Collin county. During my time dealing with the firm, I’ve had the opportunity to deal with the entire team as well as them dealing with myself and family. They treat me like a caring friend and not just a client. If you listen to Rick and Brian, do what they instruct you to do, you will get more then what you pay for. I own my own business and have been in my industry 22 years. Quality isn’t expensive, it’s priceless. This saying applies to choosing legal representation. Brian and Rick helped me clean up a huge mess I made as well as myself.

I had Richard and Brian handle two DWI cases in two different counties for me at the same time. I was very please the the outcomes. One case was dismissed the other case was reduced. They handled the case as true professionals and kept me always informed with what both counties where doing. I was very stressed but they kept things under control.

As a mother hearing your child call you and say that they are in trouble is a gut check. You don't know who to go to at first. Luckily I found Richard and his team. They are well versed in the law and very professional in handling the case. This was a very sensitive and embarrassing matter for my family but we were very pleased with the service and happy with the results. Thank you Richard Mcconathy and all the staff for your help!

I hired Richard about a year ago and was really worried that the case could not be won. Wow was I pleased at the outcome. Both Richard and Brian took charge and got several pieces of evidence throw out. The DA ended up dropping the case. The office always kelp me informed and I was very happy with the staff. Would highly recommend this lawyer.
