Approximately 38 years ago, I asked a divorce client to bring in her estate planning documents, so I could see what post-divorce adjustments needed to be made. Even though I was a young lawyer, I knew quality work when I saw it. The will and related documents were beautifully crafted, and I immediately made note of the attorney who prepared them, Bob Kroney. A short time later, I engaged Bob to assist in my estate planning. That began an attorney client relationship that has continued for almost four decades. Bob has served as counsel in complex planning for me and my parents, setting up corporate entities and trusts, and representation in difficult and protracted litigation. Bob was helpful from the first discussion to the completion of the first set of complex documents that included, among other things, the creation of a QTIP Trust in satisfaction of an agreement in a premarital agreement.
