Expensive!!!!

I highly recommend this law firm for all your needs!!!!! Everyone there from the front desk to the Attorneys are absolutely amazing! I tried everything I could as a single, hard working Mom to resolve my issues. Colby Berry is awesome! I literally put mine and my daughter’s life in his hands. The genuine concern and care is outstanding. I’m amazed at how fast Colby is and has been with resolving my case!!!! I give them 100% loyalty and recommendation!!!!

I was not impressed in working with the younger Berry. His documents kept coming to us with simple typos, like our names being misspelled and addresses incorrect, so we had to keep sending them back with the corrections. He even misspelled my name on the last email of his correspondence. The Court order that we were waiting on to get our child added to our insurance was completed 8 days before I finally reached out to him and ask where it was. The form that took him 15 minutes to complete and 45 minutes file, while we were the editors, used up the entire retainer; there was no way he earned it and then when I asked for a statement, he told me he believed the trust was "all used up" Yes, 2000 for 1 hour of work. I do not recommend using this firm if attention to detail and timeliness is of importance to your case. Katherine G.

WOW!! These attorneys are so arrogant!! William Scazzero acted like my case was too “petty” or dinky for him to handle! REALLY??? You hav to hav a big civil case! Also just got off the ph with Don White and just as arrogant!! At least William or “Billy” referred to me another attornry, Hunter Sargent, at Minor and Jester! Hunter looked over my case and told me that he didnt want to handle my case because of the language in it! Really?? Its like its too small for this company, but too big for Minor and Jester!! The arrogance of Denton County Attorneys are unbelivable! Whats wrong... couldnt make it in Dallas so you end up in a small college town!! RUDE, impolite, and wouldnt take mycase!! Didnt know i had to be a big spender!!

I emailed Brian through this site after hours last night. At 9 a.m. I got a call from his office and we set up a consultation for 9:30. In that half an hour, I was riddled with anxiety, as I had been since the night before. I had been waiting a week to hear from the partner of a family friend who was going to represent me in my divorce, and finally got his name last night. I looked him up and saw that he had been publicly reprimanded by the state and the 5 reviews I could find on him were all...not what you want to see when you feel that your future will be in that person's hands. Since yesterday I have been racked with pain through my whole body due to stress, throwing up numerous times as I feared what was going to happen, especially since I was now 8 days from the pre-trial hearing. The stress of the situation was making me physically ill. I found Avvo and started looking for attorneys, and Brian's resume and reviews were astounding. He spent half an hour talking to me, and was very clear and upfront about what the different possible outcomes were. I wasn't expecting some magical resolution from a consultation, but I can tell you that half an hour since we got off the phone, I am feeling much more calm knowing that part of what was stressing me out were bullying tactics from my husband's lawyer. I am currently trying to see if I can get the money together for his retainer. But I do know that if I am able to hire Brian, I feel confident that he is competent, matter of fact, and will do what is necessary to get this resolved quickly. Something he said that really put me at ease was that he tries to severe contact between his client and the soon to be ex as quickly as possible - which is what I want: to just be done. He didn't give me some sales pitch of, "Well, these things take time. We could be in this for the long haul," (read: you are going to end up paying me so much money I'll be able to take a nice vacation when I decide we should be done). I hope with all my heart that I am able to get the money together to hire Brian, and that we can put an end to this divorce that has been hanging over my head for far too long.
