Tony (John) Ross was extremely committed and professional with how he dedicated himself to my case. My charge was aggravated felony assault with bodily injury. When you’re looking at 2 to 20 years in prison you can’t make a mistake choosing legal counsel. I spent 36 days in jail and went through 3 different lawyer before getting out of jail. Bad advice from legal counsel put me in jail and had my bond set at $200,000 and I was considered a flight risk. I’m an educated man who has traveled across the US, Central America and done time in the military but I’ve never seen anything that compares to some of what happened to me at the hands of poor legal counsel. Once I was out of jail I looked for and interviewed multiple lawyers, trying to find the one that was truly a good fit for me and was going to fight for me. Tony sat with me listening intently as I told him the situation I was in and how everything had transpired. When I was done Tony went through my story, asking question and piecing everything together from a legal stand point. Tony told me he would represent me but he wanted me to be comfortable with him and how he approaches things. Tony didn’t tell me “Hey I can get you off” and “You’re going to beat this”. He told me I had a serious charge and it was an uphill battle but, from what I had said, it sounded like a self-defense situation. Tony doesn’t promise you the world, take your money then leave you hanging. He supports you and puts your mind at ease as you go through the process. The best offer I had after 2 years was 8 years in prison. After 2 years of going through the process losing my job, when I was in jail, then getting a better job with another company, the trial finally came. After watching Tony in the court room and how he conducts himself, I knew I had chosen the right “Lawyer”. Tony is calm, under control, intelligent, processes information quickly, pays attention to details and asks follow up questions when he knows the truth is not being told. If you’re looking for courtroom theatrics, Tony’s not the person for you. Regardless of the prosecutor’s demeanor and emotions Tony remains clam and professional. After a 3 day trial it all ended with a hopelessly hung jury at 7 to 5. After interviewing the jury it was found that the jury did not think the “victim” and his witness were believable. The jury attributed this to the questioning and how Tony had took apart their stories. These were not 2 guys with criminal records either. Bear in mind I never denied sticking this individual nor defending myself with zero witnesses to corroborate my story. In the end the prosecution offered 8 years differed probation, community service. In 250 cases seen by this judge he had never had a jury deliberate for 10 hours and come back hopelessly hung in a case like this. I attribute all of the positive thing that happened in my case over 2 years, to “My Lawyer” Tony Ross. 1. My ability to walk away with an admission of non-guilt. No contest 2. My 8 year differed probation. community service with no felony and absolutely nothing on my records I walked away with my head held high and my reputation intact which was more important to me than anything else. The day Tony told me to interview other lawyers and make sure I was comfortable with him was the day I knew Tony was the lawyer for me. Yes Tony Ross is a lawyer, and he’s exceptional at it.

First, I want to say that I could not be happier with the choice I made when I hired John "Tony" Ross after my DWI arrest in 2020. I can't express how important choosing the right attorney is if you ever find yourself in the same situation as I found myself in 15 months ago. I did also want to share my entire experience here for those who haven't been through this before as this was also my first experience being arrested. I desperately could have used someone else's experience to guide me in this process, but I couldn't find much online, so here goes... I was pulled over for speeding at approximately 1:30am on 35W in Denton County. When the officer approached my car, he asked me the "typical" questions most officers would ask after pulling someone over at 1:30am on a Saturday night... "Where are you coming from?", "Have you had anything to drink tonight?", etc. He proceeded to inform me that he smelled alcohol and instructed me to step out of the car and asked me to take a field sobriety test. I complied and proceeded to do as he asked. After completing the field sobriety test, he instructed me to place my hands behind my back as I was being arrested for suspicion of DWI. He handcuffed me and put me in the back of his police car. I was absolutely terrified as I have never been arrested in my life... EVER! I was somewhat surprised that he didn't ask me to blow into a breathalyzer, but I figured he was following protocol, so didn't mention it. Once my car was towed, He walked me back to his car, put me in the back seat, then proceeded to transport me to the county jail for processing. When we got to the jail, he took me to an "interrogation" room and told me he needed me to sign a consent for a blood draw. I told him that I would like to speak to my attorney before consenting to a blood draw. He quickly became agitated and threatened to get blood from me even if he has to "tie you to a board" to get it. I continued to explain I wasn't trying to be uncooperative, but I felt it was in my best interest to speak with my attorney before consenting to a blood draw. He, then, left me alone in the interrogation room without explanation. After a couple of hours, he returned accompanied by a nurse with a warrant in hand. My blood was collected, then I was processed through the jail. After being processed, I was put in isolation at the insistence of the arresting officer due to my "non-compliance" regarding the blood draw. I remained in custody until I could see the judge the following morning. The judge explained my charges and told me I was permitted to post bond. I had no clue what that meant, but I knew I wanted to vacate that facility as quickly as possible, so I called one of the bail bonding companies posted on the wall and bonded out. As soon as I got home, I began the search for an attorney. I came across Ross Law Offices and decided to hire Mr. Ross after researching for hours, and I'm SO thankful I did! Mr. Ross walked me through the entire process and even attended several of the hearings in my place. He always responded to my questions quickly and thoroughly and never made me feel like I was annoying him, although I'm sure I was! He made sure we went into my plea prepared and I always felt we were one step ahead bc of that. In the end, I received a very fair deal and I'm confident the result was bc of the attorney I hired to represent me, John "Tony" Ross at Ross Law Offices in Denton, TX. Thank you, Tony!!

Chandler and Ross were fantastic to work with. The attorneys, as well as the associates, are professional, experienced and work incredibly hard to take care of their clients. After our auto accident they handled everything from day one, removing the stress from our lives, and, in the end, they secured us a very nice settlement, much, much larger than we could have imagined. I highly recommend letting Chandler and Ross work for you, they truly help their clients through the difficult and complicated legal world of today.
