I went to several lawyers and spoke to several people regarding my upcoming case which was child custody dispute and child modification motion at the time. When I came to Marci’s office and sat down with her, she was attentive to me and I had 100% of her attention while I explained my situation. She was warm, caring, compassionate and fully understood the pressure my family was in under these circumstances. She explained what she could do for us and when I walked out of her office I knew she was the one to represent us. Marci and her staff are skilled, compassionate, knowledgeable in their field. I had a domestic adoption of a stepchild but it was complicated due to her natural father being in a foreign country, not wanting anything to do with her and making himself very difficult to reach. My first attempts were to the larger law firms and those with large advertisements. I got no responses from them (apparently it sounded like too much work and not an easy adoption case). I decided to email-bomb all the local family law attorneys, and even reached out to those in Dallas and Fort Worth. Ms. Martinez was first to reply and first to offer an initial consultation. From there, she lead the way and kept the case actively moving, juggling not only my representation but ensuring the ad litums for my stepdaughter and her natural father were pursuing their assigned duties. We completed that adoption today. It was a long road but Ms. Martinez kept me informed of needs before they were due, giving me ample time to respond and avoid delays. I would definitely hire her again.

I was freaking out when I first decided to seek representation for my child custody case, I talked to so many lawyers who seemed like they were only interested in pulling in consultation money before giving you any kind of confidence in who they were or what they can do. I fired Paine after 10 months of him resetting. He told the judge I would not listen to his advice, I have filed a complaint with Tx Bar and proceeding with legal action. My case was dismissed by another atty shortly after his dismissal .

Hank knows the courts in Denton County. His experience was extremely beneficial to me and my son. It is obvious that he has carefully developed positive relationships with the district attorney, judges and court personnel.
