At first filing, I was just a lowly E-4 in the US Army and had just made a poorly thought through purchase of a brand new truck the year before. I barely had $500 in disposable income. I asked to retain her due to having been denied my visitation by my ex for around a month. It was about $800 that I didn't have, so I used a credit card. The first thing she did upon, taking me on as a client, was discount her hourly rate so I could afford her services. To my knowledge, that isn't exactly a common occurrence in her field. At the first hearing to establish temporary orders, she negotiated a pretty standard order despite myself not having had great conduct throughout the relationship. Following this hearing, the process was delayed by the courts for TWO YEARS. Throughout this time period, Mrs. Smith gave consistent advice and filed amending actions as needed. Always available for appointments as required. She kept a HUGE file of everything that I gave her and everything that was pertinent to the case. She knew everything that I needed to win my case. The woman is nothing if not meticulous. At one point my ex left the state against court order, and I'm not sure I would've seen my daughter again if not for her prompt filing of emergency actions in court. After that, my bill was over $4,000 and I had no way to pay that all at once despite the firm owner's insistence, so I started paying as much as I could at a time, and throughout all of this Mrs. Smith still insisted that it didn't matter to her and that she was going to do all she could for me anyway. The final hearing was finished today a little under two years after the original filing. It's thanks to her and God that I was awarded primary custody of my little girl. The woman was an animal on cross examination and had my ex fumbling all over the stand. Apart from that, she knows the El Paso County courthouse like her own backyard and thanks to that knowledge she kept me cool in the face of odds that felt insurmountable. She personally invested in my case, and if not for her I would've been lost. I owe her everything. If I have one gripe at all about her, it's that she's spotty on email contact. If it's important she usually gets back very quickly, but I have had to bug her to get a reply occasionally. Other than that, she's perfect and I couldn't ask for someone better. I will ALWAYS recommend Mrs. Smith.

She is a lazy unprofessional attorney fast to charge you and send you monthly statements but takes forever to actually work on your case I paid her over 2,000 dollars and when it was time to go to court she withdrew from my case In the one year I TRIED to work with her she had 3 assistants. She literally doesn't go to her office Mondays or Wednesdays and you if you want to actually speak to her yourself (after she receives your retainer)... Good luck with that she refused to talk to me one on one literally had to beg...oh wait you can email her and she will respond but she'll change you $24.00 to read your email and $24.00 to respond .non of this is opinion just my personal experience with her my opinion.... GARBAGE

I had worked with Erica on a child custody case for two years. Getting a hold of her to see what the status was, took several emails, phone calls and finally a letter asking her for termination. It was only then that I finally got a hold of her after two weeks. We finally got things moving and went through the social service evaluation and after the report Erica was very convincing that the other party should give into what we are asking for or full custody will be rewarded to me. Once we got to mediation and we where into it for two hours I could tell she was tired and started saying how we should just take what we are getting because it will be worse for me if we go to court. But I did not I stood firm on my requests. After the agreement the other party has not been honoring the orders and this happened more than once. Erica did nothing to notify the court after I have asked her for several weeks. It has now been 45 days and I was promised the written court stamped orders in 10 days after mediation. I have emailed her several times and got one reply with "if I don't have it by the end of week I will do it." It has been two weeks after the promise and nothing yet and no positive response. Getting a hold of her is a hard time and her truly helping seems honest until we get to court and then her confidence is no longer there. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I am not bitter I got what I wanted but only because I stood firm and did not give in. I would have liked a lawyer with confidence and someone who kept there word and wanting to fight for what is right and easy to get a hold of. Not at every call but at least with in the same week.

They handled my divorce. You do have to keep in touch with them, but they reply quickly. The secretary is very helpful in general questions that you might have. I have recommended them, and have only heard good things.

Erica is always very attentive and professional. She did an amazing job for my family during a difficult case. She is very knowledgeable and strong in the courtroom. Straight forth and honest. Thank you for protecting the best interest of my kids and myself.

it was a great experience. A lot of the delays were from the court but she was there to answer all my questions. In the end the painful process was expedited by her. Thank you.

I was hired for child support,she don't do anything to help me I pay more of child support even I don't earn to much money. I do t revi end this attorney she always looked her cell phone. And don't pay Attention what the other lawyer said

She is a money hungry vulture she does not care about you or your kids. She could care less if you win or loose your case as long as u pay up. If i could rate negitive stars i would. Worst lawyer and lawyer experience i have ever had. Save your self time money and heart ache just get a different lawyer
