Very condescending. Paid no attention, no acknowledgement, not even eye contact. Just gave his quote and that was it. Felt uncomfortable talking to someone who didn't even turn to look at me. A very unpleasant five minute meeting. This was a couple of years ago, glad to share my my experience for others and hoping he (Ruben Ortiz) has taken a different approach with potential clients. Update: Mr. Ortiz replied to the review I left and in that reply he accuses me of making this up because I "read his reviews". In my opinion, his reply further supports my review. I find his response a bit puerile. I haven't read any single review of his, I don't need to. I had an consultation and wrote my experience. Plain and simple. I'm glad he's successful in helping people, he just didn't help me. That's okay, not the end of the world. It wasn't a criminal case, just something minor. Perhaps it wasn't worth his time. I don't know. What I do know is how I felt during my consultation. I do believe any counsel should show some respect and demonstrate humility with potential clients, (again my opinion). Perhaps he does and I was the unlucky one that day. Again, my opinion, of who I would feel comfortable representing me. I left his office feeling bad and unacknowledged, those were my feelings and not a matter of opinion. Perhaps he's the type of counsel some seek. Great. Also, the reason I wrote this review is because I write reviews for places I have visited, like countless people do. Very simple. I saw his commercial and remembered him and wrote a review. Nothing sinister like his reply indicates. I'm just a person who had a five minute meeting, had an unpleasant experience that I remembered, and wrote my experience as a review. I'm glad Mr. Ortiz replied, thus giving people an idea of who can potentially represent them, opting for his services or not. I hope people find my review, as well as his response, helpful.

Ruben ortiz best lawyer In town I could have hired . I am a lesbian and was wrongfully accused of a crime I didnt commit from the start he was fair and not prejudice toward me at all he was touched by my story and told me everything would be ok . Ruben told me he would dismiss my charges and I would not do jail time I only met with him five times within a year this happen to me he is a Godsend and thanks to him as of today my night mare is over my case was dismissed I will always be thankful to him. I highly recommend him.

Mr. Ortiz is a great intelligent person who actually knows what he's doing. If you want to be steered in the RIGHT direction, look no farther than Mr. Ortiz. Trust me, you WON'T regret it.

Im going keep this short and sweet but Ruben personally called me and answered every question I have and had and cleared up everything in a professional manner and was very respectful. He is very prepared and well knowledge about the law. I can say I’ve been to only one other attorney who has as much good reviews and they didn’t do what Ruben did for me. I will say he honestly cares and wants to helps anyway he can. So I do believe this is what makes him the best attorney in El Paso.
