I was falsely accused of a crime. Being in the military I was at stake of loosing my job, money, and freedom. Thanks to the representation of Ruben Ortiz I was able to prove my innocence. I’m very thankful for his hard work and patience in my case. Anyone facing serious charges should have a serious lawyer. 10/10 would recommend.

First off i wanna thank Mr. Ortiz and Mr. Cox for an amazing job they did for my husbands case, not only did they save him from going to prison they got him the help he needs! My husband was looking at hard time for his cases and a probation revocation. Both attorneys fought and got him what they had promised to do. My husband will be in a 6 month program and probation when he gets out. Thank you to everyone in the office from the Portillo family! You saved our husband, son and father.

Do not hire Ruben Ortiz to represent your children. He claims to be like an artist as he stated to me and my wife in trial cases. He is also disrespectful to women and didn’t want to deal with my wife. We gave Mr Ortiz several documents from our sons school to present to the case and Ortiz didn’t submit documents for the case. These docs had many examples proving our sons innocence but he ignored me and my wife. Later on these docs helped our new attorney. The day we were suppose to pick a jury he said that we should take a deal offered by DA office and he had a lot of respect for DA. Which is the total opposite of what he had been telling us from when we first hired him. We fired him after he convince us to take a deal requiring our son to admit guilt to a felony. Worst representation ever don’t waste your money on this unprofessional liar.

Very condescending. Paid no attention, no acknowledgement, not even eye contact. Just gave his quote and that was it. Felt uncomfortable talking to someone who didn't even turn to look at me. A very unpleasant five minute meeting. This was a couple of years ago, glad to share my my experience for others and hoping he (Ruben Ortiz) has taken a different approach with potential clients. Update: Mr. Ortiz replied to the review I left and in that reply he accuses me of making this up because I "read his reviews". In my opinion, his reply further supports my review. I find his response a bit puerile. I haven't read any single review of his, I don't need to. I had an consultation and wrote my experience. Plain and simple. I'm glad he's successful in helping people, he just didn't help me. That's okay, not the end of the world. It wasn't a criminal case, just something minor. Perhaps it wasn't worth his time. I don't know. What I do know is how I felt during my consultation. I do believe any counsel should show some respect and demonstrate humility with potential clients, (again my opinion). Perhaps he does and I was the unlucky one that day. Again, my opinion, of who I would feel comfortable representing me. I left his office feeling bad and unacknowledged, those were my feelings and not a matter of opinion. Perhaps he's the type of counsel some seek. Great. Also, the reason I wrote this review is because I write reviews for places I have visited, like countless people do. Very simple. I saw his commercial and remembered him and wrote a review. Nothing sinister like his reply indicates. I'm just a person who had a five minute meeting, had an unpleasant experience that I remembered, and wrote my experience as a review. I'm glad Mr. Ortiz replied, thus giving people an idea of who can potentially represent them, opting for his services or not. I hope people find my review, as well as his response, helpful.

Ruben ortiz best lawyer In town I could have hired . I am a lesbian and was wrongfully accused of a crime I didnt commit from the start he was fair and not prejudice toward me at all he was touched by my story and told me everything would be ok . Ruben told me he would dismiss my charges and I would not do jail time I only met with him five times within a year this happen to me he is a Godsend and thanks to him as of today my night mare is over my case was dismissed I will always be thankful to him. I highly recommend him.
