I did not think a settlement was going to be possible. Not only did Julian get us to a settlement, but for the first time in a year long ugly, expensive battle, I truly felt heard, validated, and respected through the entire process. I highly recommend this firm. Julian is nothing short of a miracle worker!

After leaving another local law firm that was disorganized and unresponsive, I landed at the The Julian Firm. Jared Julian is a FANTASTIC attorney (and mediator - he was my attorney in mediation, but you could clearly see his mediation skills). He settled my messy divorce quickly - there were military retirement, child abuse criminal charges, messy tracing of finances, special needs children... you name it, my case had it. He is sharp as a tack (which lets you relax a little, knowing that he's not going to miss a thing). He knows all the attorneys in town (which gives him great insight into what to expect from your ex's attorney). He will be tough on the opposing attorney (which, as a passive person who tends to just want to give in rather than fight, was critical for me). But, he will also be a little tough on you too, if you need it (if you need a kick in the pants to help you achieve your goals or if you're being unrealistic and chasing down a rabbit hole that will cost you massive legal fees to win minimal assets, he'll be sure to let you know. Trust me, his 'tough love' is a good thing. He'll see your blind spots that the other side will exploit and he'll have you address them before they do.). He is funny, warm and highly experienced. Both in stature and in personality, he can command a room when he needs to though. He's the kind of guy who really looks you in the eye while you're talking and you can see his wheels already turning with ideas for how he can help you. His office staff are also fantastic. Jared Julian did an excellent job as the mediator between me and my daughter's father. I highly recommend before going to court. I never thought we would reach an agreement and was ready to walk away, Jared was able to accomplish something I never thought would be possible.

Hiring Brett Nelson and his law firm was the worst business decision I've made in 25 years and close to $1M in business legal fees incurred- Denton county is full of ethical family law attorneys unfortunately Nelson treats clients like an ATM machine -buyer be warned. his website is outdated and he claims 30 years of experience and by god he operates his firm like it's 30yrs old. Questionable moral ethics and confidentiality.

Julian is the real deal. He was professional, knowledgeable and welcoming during a stressful 2 day mediation. I had low confidence going into Mediation that I would walk out with a signed divorce settlement but Julian proved me wrong.
