Benson Varghese is an excellent attorney and very knowledgeable in our case matter. He’s been patiently with us through the entire case from the free consultation, hiring as our attorney, to an end of our final court verdict, which he delivered as promised. No one ever wants to be in need of a Law Firm, but if you have to have one, then Varghese/Summersett is the firm to go with. Precise, knowledgeable, punctual, understanding and very helpful. This was my first experience ever observing any criminal court proceeding. As the questioning and cross-examination of the plaintiff and key witnesses progressed, it was fascinating to observe the defendant’s legal counsel - Mr. Varghese and Ms. Thornton - work as one in pursuit of the truth and acquittal for their client. It was my sense there was an air of confidence with the legal team but cautious or tempered optimism with the defendant. In looking back at the three-day trial, several adjectives come to mind while attempting to describe the defendant’s legal counsel. Competence - Refers to the ability to do something effectively well which was clearly supported by the legal counsel’s intuitive knowledge of the criminal case, courtroom rules and etiquette. During the cross-examination of the witnesses, Mr. Varghese was proficient and skillful while demonstrating savvy on multiple occasions to the benefit of the defendant. Experience - The legal counsel possessed an awareness, familiarity and complete understanding of the criminal case and charges levied against the defendant. It was this experience, in addition to their exhaustive preparation, that afforded the defendant a distinct advantage as this trial progressed. Professionalism - This is in reference to the confidence, competence and skill demonstrated by the defendant’s counsel. It was apparent from the start of the proceeding the legal team had a thorough understanding of State of Texas criminal law beginning with the presentation to the jury pool and especially during the questioning of the plaintiff. Ethics - In reference to the moral principles governing courtroom behavior and interrogation of the plaintiff and State’s witnesses, the defendant’s legal team was firm but unequivocally fair. There were multiple occasions when the defense counsel had to remind the judge there were clear violations by the State’s key witness so severe that at one point the judge granted a mistrial. Persistence - Mr. Varghese demonstrated uncanny and unparalleled “stick-to-it-iveness” in his pursuit to uncover the facts (i.e. aka the truth) relating to the State’s allegation. Mr. Varghese’s determination, tenacity, perseverance, and most importantly his patience was clearly on display the entire trial. Commitment - A prerequisite for any successful team or endeavor is a high degree of focus and commitment. Without a commitment to succeed, attaining the most critical, impactful goals and objectives for their client would not have been possible. Mr. Varghese and Ms. Thornton were extremely focused paying particular attention to all the necessary and minor details relating to this criminal trial which in the end was of immense benefit to the defendant. In summary, I am most grateful for the work of the Varghese Summersett legal team and the defense of their client. As such, I have no reservations highly recommending this law firm to those in need of competent and professional criminal legal services.

I was honored to have Mr. Benson Varghese personally represent. Mr. Varghese is amazing, and by that I mean he will always return your call, respond to your emails and be a compassionate and empathetic advocate. It's worth noting that we have not been to trial, as yet, but I have the utmost faith that he will do everything in his power to defend me against the false allegations filed against me.

If I could leave no stars that's where I would be with this review, I think it's highly questionable that there's this many positives when all I experienced was negativity from this firm. I initially called September 18th with a legal problem and was told somebody would get back to me in a couple hours or possibly the next morning, not one single call back from anybody, after 7 days had passed I decided to call them again, and finally received a call 3 hours later with no guidance or direction regarding my legal issue...I'm disappointed with their ethical demeanor and hope somewhere down the road they improve their communications with future clients
