If you get arrested in Texas for anything David is probably going to be your best bet, especially if it is marijuana or DUI related.
I am from Florida, and I got popped in Texas with a little over 20 pounds of cannabis, 400 grams of Hash, and an AR-15 type assault rifle. My bail was set at 50,000 dollars, and if convicted, I could have done 20+. I am affiliated with NORML, and heard through a network of people that David would be the right guy for the job, and he was.
David was very diligent about my case, and the prosecution did NOT want to argue with him. He subpoena'd all the records from every single arrest made by the arresting officer in the last year, and worked a whole bunch of other magic, I have no idea what he did, but it worked. David is also affiliated with NORML, and on top of being a badass lawyer, he is a pretty cool guy to chill with. As soon as I met David, I did not speak with any other lawyers, I knew I was in good hands.
After being charged with one first degree felony, one second degree felony, and 2 third degree misdemeanors, with David handling my case, I he ended up getting all charges dropped except the hash charge, which got reduced, AND deferred. End result was a 1500 dollar fine, some court and lab fees, and 120 hours of community service, and since it was deferred, I am on probation until I finish the hours, but after I finish, I can get off early.
Basically, I was facing 20+ years, and David pretty much got me off with what could be loosely regarded as a slap on the wrist. David handles all kind of cases from money laundering to marijuana cases, to dui's...with this guy by your side you know you are in good hands.
Thanks David

David Sloane is the only name you need to know if you find yourself in trouble. I was charged with possession of marijuana along with the other two people that were in the car with me. They were charged and given 12 months of probation, 80 hours of community service, a DOEP class, and a slew of other hoops to jump through. I had my case completely dismissed thanks to Mr. Sloane's hard work and dedication to his clients. Not to mention he drove 6 hours and made an overnight trip to represent me in Hale County.
He is knowledgeable, fun, outgoing, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you so much David, your positive attitude, charisma, and wealth of experience has made this whole process so much more bearable.

I hired David Sloane to defend me against marijuana charge. He gave me the option of charging a flat fee. It was explained to me my cost would be fixed regardless of whether it took him one appearance in court or ten. I agreed to this as a means of limiting my legal cost. He was able to get the charges against me dismissed. I consider this money well spent. He did a great job for the price quoted.

Atty Sloane was retained for a weapons charge on a first time offender. I was never charged in the case, only met and spoke to David Sloane at the time I retained him. He had me sign a "flat-rate contract" which is frowned upon by both the Tarrant County Bar association and the TX Bar Association. I did not know at the time. Since then, David Sloane has never once called me to keep me up to date on the case, to let me know anything. His suggestion, to sit and wait it out. It has been two years, and I am assuming I will not be charged in this case. I asked for a return of any unused retainers and he refuses to return anything. From my contact with the Tarrant Bar Association, attorneys should only charge for time and work they actually did on the case. He even admitted that there were no hourly notes or timesheets kept with regards to any work they supposedly performed on this case. They should NOT charge flat rate fees. I have begun my dispute and it will be handled by an arbitration committee. Either way, I believe Attorney David Sloane is untrustworthy when it comes to trying to recoup money for work that was never done.

David was able to save me a lot of hassel and money plus a case that if I handeled myself would have been a nightmare brought to life turned into a cakewalk! He's always been very efficient at what he does and I feel safest working with him. His work ethic is outstanding and somewhat rare. David has supported me on 3 different cases.

My son was charged with injury to a child. He agreed to watch a toddler while the mother went shopping. The child was asleep when he arrived. When he looked in on her a short while later he noticed she had stopped breathing and called an ambulance. She had a subdural hematoma (crainial bleed) which can be caused by what is commonly called "shaken baby syndrome." She has since fully recovered. My son was accused because he was the only one present when the most obvious symptoms appeared. Our first lawyer told my son he had better accept the state's plea-bargain offer of 10 years in prison and we sought a second opinion from David Sloane. For once, somebody believed my son when he said he didn't do this! Mr. Sloane worked tirelessly on my son's case. He conducted extensive discovery my son's first lawyer never did, and most significantly, he spent many hours long into the night in the library at the University of North Texas Health Science Center researching the topic. He found several ground-breaking studies showing that it can often take hours and even days from the time of the injury for symptoms to appear. The Doctor planning to testify for the prosecution informed them she could no longer stand behind her initial opinion my son had done this when presented with these latest medical studies. The state dropped all charges against my son (without apology.) Were it not for David Sloane my son would STILL be in prison! I shudder to think how many innocent people are...

I was arrested for possession of marijuana and treated by the police like some criminal-thug. They handcuffed me and even strip-searched me at the jail. I was just about to graduate from Medical School. I hired David Sloane to defend me after he was referred to me by National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws. He got the charges against me dismissed and then went in and got the record of my arrest expunged. I passed my DEA licensing without a hitch! The other lawyers I talked to told me I would have to be on probation and have a record! His prices were fair and I always felt he cared what happened to me.
