My attorney Alan Steele has got me the best outcome I could ever hope for on my case. I would of been a felon, but Alan went above and beyond to work with the DA to come to an agreement where I would only have a misdemeanor conviction on my record. Honestly just a pay check to them. I had the consult with them in 2019 or 2020, I told them how I wished to have my case dropped because I am a nurse and can’t have an assault on my background. The man who did the intake said he was 99% sure he could get it dropped or lowered even with video evidence. I paid them about $2500. After 3 years , I submitted evidence of harassment from the individual which I was later told it was lost and my lawyer never submitted it to the prosecutors. After 3 years, Steven Mendoza told me to just take the deferred probation. The initial offer from the very beginning. Same length of time and everything. I was tired of putting up with it for 3 years and decided to just take it. I wish I had more help on my end and I wish someone would’ve called witnesses to prove I was attacked first or at least submitted my evidence of harassment from the individual over the span of 5 years. Wasted my money. I could’ve been done with the probation if I took the offer 3 years ago.
