Whether a judge or jury, your attorney’s diligence WILL dictate & influence them where it matters the most. Their decision! My nightmare began when I was notified by the DA that my ex-wife’s fiancé assault allegation turned into assault charge. I knew that I needed to hire an attorney in short notice and more importantly one I could trust. After going through a 4 year long custody battle, the weight of a guilty verdict would of poisoned my case which was a risk I was not willing to take. Being a Marine combat veteran myself, I’ve been under stellar leadership both times I’ve been overseas & can spot it a mile away. You get the best of both worlds in one representing your behalf in court. Con: Hiring another attorney will only carry one (at best) or neither (at your own peril). Pro: After I hired him I realized his reputation within the legal community was solid and well established. I had several lawyers tell me I was in good hands when I mentioned Brandon Barnett was representing me, they were right. Con: The District Attorney’s case just got weaker. Especially if yours is in Tarrant County! Pro: Your best fighting chance at keeping your freedom is with Brandon! Con: You only have one shot at your case and that is it! If you lose, you’ll live to regret your choice behind bars. I don't give praise lightly however what he did protected my relationship with my boys so I made an exception. In return I give him a lifetime of gratitude & the top of my go-to-list regarding any legal matter. Hired an attorney to do a job and feel like I gained a friend as well.

I found Brandon Barnett after "Google-ing" a search for a criminal defense attorney, particularly one with military expertise. He ended up being the best Google search I have ever made! I received a notice to appear far later than anticipated with a date too close for comfort. Mr. Barnett advocated for a postpone --with success! My case involved a mistake on my behalf, which resulted in potential criminal charges. Although my actions could easily have been classified as a common mistake in the state of Texas, Mr. Barnett did not sugarcoat the seriousness of a potential guilty verdict. His openess was very important to me as I get turned off from the sense of dishonesty. The dedication and effort that he puts forth, no doubt, plays a major role in his success. I would have potentially been in a far darker place right now had I not valued the importance of adequate representation. Mr. Barnett exceeded expectations in all avenues, and, although I hope I never have to use him again for anything else, he is definitely my new go-to! Case Dismissed. I had a case that needed a good attorney to handle. After some research I came across the Barnett, Howard, & Williams website. From the onset, I was impressed with their overall feel so made the decision to contact them. From the moment I contacted them, Brandon Barnett was easy to work with and communicate with. I was able to meet in either the downtown or Keller office depending on what was convenient for me and he was flexible on times. Brandon's professionalism and initial concern about my case were genuine and took the time to assess and understand the situation that had taken place. He gave me a game plan on how we would approach the case and told me that our ultimate goal would be for dismissal but was up front in saying that there could be minor charges. He never misled me about what we were up against, but was extremely optimistic from day one. After a few court appearances, the ADA agreed to terms set forth after I completed the program that Brandon Barnett had put into place. On our final appearance they reviewed the efforts put forth and agreed for dismissal of my case. All of the staff with BHW Lawfirm were professional and courteous. The customer service factor overall was superb and very welcoming. Every phone call had a friendly tone and voice and every staff member that traveled with Brandon Barnett to court was warm and friendly.
