I have the extraordinary pleasure of having each one of these phenomenal individual attorneys take part in my case/s. Each one of them have went above and beyond their primary titles. I will not go into my ongoing case but I can absolutely tell you that before I had the privilege of having these Heaven Sent Angels brought into my life/case/s I had completely lost my faith in Attorneys. Every single individual in this firm has given me back hope, faith in our Attorneys and how how they will work for you. There is so very much I can say about the Alband Law Firm unfortunately there is nothing I can tell anyone about how unbelievably phenomenal this law firm is and how each individual go to their above and beyond compassion hard work dedication, and love of what they do. There truly are no words to express what they have done for my child and me. The only way you will ever know how Heaven sent these Angels are is to experience how far and beyond they will go for you. However unfortunate your situation or circumstances may be. The Number One in Attorney at Law. The Alband Law Firm. Thank you Ms. Luanne, Mr. Alband, Mr. Javier, Mr. Bill. Phenomenal does not even begin to describe this Law Firm.

Navid has represented me twice. both times he was thorough and always on top of everything! No matter what your facing, he can always make something happen! He is also so easy to be honest with, as he is so understanding. And he is so good at hearing whatever fears you may have and making sure they don't happen! He is absolutely by far the best attorney I've ever had, and seeing other have bad ones to compare Navid and how great he was, with! He will jbe a lifelong attorney as well as friend! Thank you Navid!

I frantically was searching for a criminal defense attorney and having no idea where to start, I simply filled out a few web forms detailing my situation. Navid call first thing the very next morning! As many others who have reviewed Mr. Alband, I can certainly attest that the system is slow and Navid will tell you that upfront. However, he will also give you a honest look into possible scenarios for your case with the evidence and conversations that you provide him with. Luane is simply a huge part of what makes Navid's practice so comforting. She is able to quickly follow-up and takes great notes and relays concerns to Navid...she is truly a jewel. Thank you both!

I am 44 years old getting arrested for the first time in my life, falsely accused, confused, fortunately stumbled upon Attorney Navid Alband. Attorney Navid and the very courteous, kind and non judgemental office staff which includes Louann, worked with me through this long process where patience is a virtue. Was never over promised, no false hopes. Just a bit of advice for any body that goes thru the criminal defense process, be ready to be patient and don't think Navid is not listening when the process takes time because the odds are its the system itself where attorneys have no control over. In my case the end result was a NOT GUILTY verdict by a jury. Navid in my case, felt like a guardian angel i met in an unexpected moment in my life, who listened to me, believed me and came thru for me.

I sought council from Navid after being charged with fleeing the scene of an accident. 2 visits to court later my charge was dropped entirely which was better than I could've hoped for. LuAnn filled in all the gaps by reminding me of dates, addresses and what I needed to do every step of the way.

I am an attorney in Salt Lake City Utah. I located Mr. Sanders on Avvo, when one of my small business clients was sued in federal court for the District of Texas. Mr. Sanders was responsive, provided urgent assistance in the case and directed us to a local published opinion almost directly on point. His responsiveness allowed my client to make some important decisions quickly. I was very impressed with Mr. Sanders.

Great lawyer. Helped me when 2 other attorneys would not and got a great result. The defense attorney thought very highly of Mr. Collins as did the adjuster and they knew he would go to trial if he thought it should. That helped get the case settled.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Fort Worth, Texas?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
