Alex Harper is an excellent attorney and a true professional who cares about his clients! I was wrongly accused of impaired driving, and Alex was able to have my DMV hearing set aside and went the extra mile by advocating on my behalf to have the DA dismiss the case. He's a good man to have on your side, and he most definitely will do his very best on your behalf. I highly recommend him!

For a matter involving a security guard working for a well-known theater with lots of power, I interviewed 5 attorneys after reading "questions to ask before hiring an attorney" (so I was well prepared). The others were very good, but I thought Mr. Harper would be best. He was knowledgeable, experienced, and well-spoken. He explained procedures, options available to me, and what he would be doing and when. He was very detail-oriented and timely. The outcome of my case was exactly what I had hoped to get. If he handled other fields of law, I would hire him for them too.

I was charged with carjacking in Oakland, CA. Mr. Harper took my case. He worked really hard and was talking to the DA all the time. Mr. Harper convinced the DA that I wasn't there when the carjacking happenned, even though I was in the car when it was stopped by police a few days later. Mr. Harper made the police do a new line-up, and convinced the judge that the video of my police questioning was done wrong. The DA wasn't allowed to use my police interview video. At the last minute, the DA offered me a misdemeanor petty theft charge. I was sent home with credit for time served instead of going to prison. I will be thankful to Mr. Harper for his work for the rest of my life.

I am the president of a homeowners association. I hired Mr. Harper on behalf of the association to help us handle a situation that had become very complicated and difficult.
