I received very bad advice and I am living with the results of that every day of my life. James told me that the prosecutor was offering a lesser charge, the deal was reducing the charge to a misdemeanor. He said it was a "nothing" charge and would not affect my future. On top of I would not incur all the expenses of going to court. So I took the deal. As it turns out my record did not change at all and now I am being turned down when seeking an apartment to rent. My life insurance is very limited and expensive. I have been turned down for work and cannot even apply to many jobs. It's clear that he either does not know the law or didn't care.
