I hired Kathryn to assist with my case after receiving poor representation by a larger firm in Austin. I was hoping that despite the small size of her practice, she would be supportive, empathetic, and fierce in protecting me and my daughter. Sadly, she and many other lawyers are not properly educated in the fields of coercive control, post-separation abuse, stalking, and harassment. Regardless of the evidence I provided, she talked over me, interrupted me when I expressed concerns about my young child, and warned of loss of custody if I kept trying to protect my child from abuse. She would often make incredibly insensitive comments to me during phone calls and meetings While I understand that the family court system is flawed, if lawyers do not stand up for their clients and convince them to quiet their concerns for their children, the flawed system will never improve. Abused, protective mothers need lawyers who listen. Sadly, Kathryn did not.

she calls me and has the nerve i never reached out to her and she demands 6000.00 and then more ??? she must be friends with amy mclean strange i went to bank the day before and pulled out 6000.00 her going rate is 400.00 story sounds like another stapler talker . She was rude. when i was battered ! I called her up a week later to scope her out. She seemed a little more chilled out, but she had some kind of nervous, just ruthless.

You wouldn't walk into war without the proper General, and you definitely don't want to walk into a court room without Kathryn Fowler. Katheryn is supportive, caring, and very experienced in the world of Divorce. It's pretty impressive when you go to mediation 3 times, with 3 different mediators, and they each tell you, "You have a very good lawyer," It's a very humbling feeling. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money anywhere else. Kathryn is the lawyer you want. Reviewed by a hard working single mom of 2 beautiful daughters that mean the world to me. Kathryn is the best family law attorney there is! She helped me with my child custody case a few years ago. She is very professional, experienced, "down to earth", and gives great advice. Kathryn and DeAnna (her assistant) are very quick to respond to messages and keep you well informed throughout the process. Kathryn even went above and beyond to fix an issue that arose in my case 2 years later. I would definitely recommend her for any of your family law/attorney needs.

I was fortunate to find and contact Mrs. Fowler in approx. March 2012 while deployed in Afghanistan (despite very limited communication connectivity from a combat zone) concerning my pending unexpected divorce. She worked with me diligently while I was deployed. From the get go, fought tooth and nail for me and my children. She was there through it all. Was on top of it all. She exemplified a combination of genuine concern for the heartache I will going through, while I was deployed and upon returning. She’d unwavering steely will to fight on my behalf. It was fortitude to a degree I have rarely seen outside the military. Truly Mrs. Fowler is one that knows how to connect with her client in order to get the job done. It was a long road and she was there (and will be there) every step of the way. Definitely an “A list” legal representative that one should consider when looking for counsel.

Kathryn handled my case very professionally and gave me very good advice. Thanks to Kathryn I was able to overcome some tough legal challenges. She was quick and very well prepared for my child custody fight.

Where do I start with Ms. Fowler? I had hired her for a custody case that should have been stopped dead in its tracks from the moment I hired her. My ex was claiming because I'm a veteran that I'm violent. Rather than try to show proof I wasn't, we did a paternity test to delay a hearing. Shortly after, we went to mediation. What Ms. Fowler failed to mention was the date for mediation was set due to her impending vacation that I was never privy to. I wasn't asking for a complete schedule of her life, but a heads up prior to two days before you leave would be nice. She was also very lenient to the other attorney due to the fact she was pregnant, and this was not comforting. When asked for all correspondence between herself and the opposing attorney, as well as an itemized bill for what had been spent so far, Ms Fowler herself requested to withdraw as she "felt she could not communicate" with me. The feelin of not being able to communicate and not willing to communicate are two separate things. This left me not only in the dark, but hopeless as I was going into mediation myself. When asked about how much was used from the retainer and told we felt a complete refund was due because of lack of anything of worth the reply was , "I did substantial work on this case, and I'm entitled to the fee that I earned." Where was this substantial work might I ask? A few emails between the two attorneys and two things filed with the court, was the extent of the work. When mailed my "file" If you can call it that, it was everything that we had submitted with her and a few extra documents, as well as her personal code of ethics as an attorney. Nothing that you could call substantial at all. I'm short, I DO NOT recommend her for hire simply due to the fact she left a feeling she was looking for an open and shut case with someone willing to accept what was given to them, rather than someone that was willing to fight for their child.

Kathryn and her staff were extremely effective for my divorce. She was well organized, well-prepared and provided great advice that made my divorce go smoothly. Her approach was comforting and I always felt she provided great recommendations then executed efficiently. I would highly recommend her and her organization and would use her again under any circumstance!!

I retained Ms. Fowler to represent myself and my daughter regarding a modification of visitation. Ms. Fowler filed for a protective order and had a hearing within two weeks. Prior to the hearing, I was given a "homework" assignment which I prepared for her regarding the issues in my case and why I needed a protective order for my daughter. We had a full day hearing which Ms. Fowler was extremely powerful and we prevailed on every issue. My daughter has received time which is what she needed and I believe the outcome in the long run will be positive. I would highly recommend Ms. Fowler as I was informed and prepared for my hearing.

I hired Kathrine to help me with a child custody case. Kathrine informed me of my rights and explained all possibilities of the outcome of my case. Kathrine kept me informed through out the case. Kathrine is very knowledgable about family law and was crucial to my gaining custody of my son. I highly recommend her for any family law case!

hiring this lawyer is a waste of time!! she doesn't know what she is doing! she took a case and claimed she knew about the military and after she keeps taking your money she THEN tells you that she has no knowledge about the military! instead of working on your case she'll go and tell you that she has her head wrapped around another case basically saying she HASN'T DONE ANYTHING AT ALL!! she'll cancel appointments on you to the point that YOU have to bust your butt just to drive to her office! even when you show up to her office she STILL doesn't do anything let alone see you. she over charges you just for going up there to see her AND EMAILING her even when she doesn't email you back! then she has her paralegal send you away and tells you that she will call you and email you when they wont. she takes on your case and CLAIMS her paralegal knows how to do it then turns around and says her paralegal knows nothing about the case! it's ridiculous! why would you accept a case that neither you OR your paralegal knows how to handle! she'll lie to your face and have you expect that she's doing your case when she isnt. then she takes credit for the information I HAD TO PROVIDE FOR HER. she's been taking my money and not doing anything for me. she doesnt give you ANYTHING! no documents, no break downs of anything, or information on what she did for my case! she practically refused to give me ANYTHING! they stall till the time runs out so they can easily say that they have no choice in the matter. all this lawyer did was take my money and claims she needs more. when i did give her my money to do the paper work she ended up not doing it and decided to let another lawyer do it for her. after going through all of this stressful events with my case she didnt do anything to help me and i HIGHLY recommending NOT to hire this lawyer!!! she ISN'T friendly whatsoever and tells me she didnt have to represent me. all together she screwed me over!
