My wife and I had need of a family attorney for an estate and we live in Missouri, Mr Barrera unlike several attorneys actually took the time to speak with us long distance and agreed to represent us. The estate took eight months l longer than it should due to a family member and their attorney. Mr. Barrera gave us his cell phone number, he answered his phone and returned texts messages and provided first class service. Mr Barrera and his office took care of us when other attorneys in Harlingen would not even bother talking to us due to us being out of state. Mr Barrera did all the work he promised for his retainer in processing the estate and went above and beyond due to the added family issues and opposing attorney motions dragging out the estate settlement. The estate went into arbitration and Mr Barrera represented us during that process and we came out a winner in the end and very happy with the outcome. Bottom line is I have worked with other attorneys in the past and Mr Barrera unlike other attorneys he was very accessible when not in court, he personally returned calls, emails and text messages he did everything he could to make dealing with the loss of a family member and the associated legal issues as easy as possible with us living in Missouri we are grateful for his representation as our attorney and would recommend him and his law firm to others in need if his services. Mr Barrera did not nickle and dime us to death like a lot of Harlingen attorneys will, he gave us his price and he kept his word and worked hard to represent us and we were successful due to time and representation.

Mr. Barrera just helped my sister and I settle a very difficult and complicated family estate (after the passing of our father). He was VERY reasonably priced and never asked for more money even though the negotiations drug out a year longer than anticipated. Definitely a man of his word. Most importantly to me... he is full of character and integrity. I highly recommend his services.

If I were basing my review on the consult and the new attorney who conducted it, I would have given him a 5/5. Very knowledgeable and professional. Barrera himself and his clerk, however, are rude and treat you like garbage.

Mr Barrera cares about his clients. To him it's not just about money. He works hard on his cases. He even works on his lunch breaks when most lawyers wouldn't even available. He's willing to work with you if you have a financial situation and he treats all his clients like family.
