I am very thankful to the law office of Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick. The law team made the process easy to navigate with with VA.The CCK law team communicated with me every step in the process. I have been trying for a long time to get my claims processed with VA. I was getting delays and denials. I contacted CCK law firm. I paid them $6k to represent me before the Court of Appeals for Veteran Claims. If you have over $2M in assets the government won't fund your day in court so I paid. They won a remand and that was the agreed upon metric of success and end of their agreed upon duties. However the VA denied grant on first review. I sent in documentation and asked for options. The clerks refused to let me speak to a lawyer. They would only say go somewhere else. Now sometimes on appeal you can argue ineffective counsel and you have to get a new lawyer. So I can understand if they might not be able to continue representation. But to refuse to go over options after charging me $6k is just piss-poor customer service. They technically met their obligations but they suck. Not recommended!

Testimony of Henry Mayo, Jr. Words could never express the sincere gratitude for the law firm of Chisholm Chisholm and Kilpatrick (CC&K). It’s been a long journey and WE thank God for CC&K. We began our quest to get help for my father in 1996, after he was diagnosed with Mycosis Fungoides, not to mention the many other medical issues he suffered within his body due to his active-duty station of Fort McClellan, Alabama; however, to no avail, but… After almost 24 years of denial letters for service connection; after doctors and other law firms turned him away; after many letters to the Presidents of the United States; Texas Congressmen and Senators, the White House Veterans Committee, after 2 days on Facebook, after going viral we received a call from a Texas State Representative and a special visit from CNN Jake Tapper’s, reporter Kim Berryman, we took the advice of a young man from Facebook who told us to call Chisholm Chisholm and Kilpatrick, they will help your dad. I was reluctant at first, as many law firms turned us away, but CC&K took the case in 2017 and 3 years later, June of 2020, my father received an approval letter for 100% service connection, in addition to SMC rating increases. Although dad had been placed on hospice, I can’t explain the joy I heard in my father’s voice: ”That’s a special kind of law firm God sent to us.” Yes, CC&K is special, they specialize in knowing the right verbiage; the ins-and outs of past cases, laws and rules that we could never imagine; they specialize in getting to know their clients. They worked diligently to obtain proof that my father’s condition was service-connected. Our government would not acknowledge the many illnesses that the soldiers acquired by being stationed at Fort McClellan, Alabama, contaminated army base (that demanded a shut-down in 1999). But because of CC&K’s dedication and hard work, my father is now able to receive the best medical care possible to help with his illnesses. He’s 87 now and realizes he would never receive the restitution, time and money; and nor his quality of life that he was robbed of many years ago, but, he says “I can only go forward and live the remaining years knowing that even though my government would not acknowledge that my enlistment caused my condition and didn’t care…CC&K CARED, they took care of me many times over. They made my many LOSSES A HUGE WIN!!!” He knows because of GOD and CC&K he’s is still alive and no longer on hospice. We say to all veterans who have been constantly contemplating on whether to get an attorney to help them get what they deserve, don’t wait until it’s too late, do It now!!!! I made contact again. Dumb on my part I guess. Explaining that I would be willing to continue with my claim if your firm can find the documents that I have already sent. I was told we can't help you please don't contact again. This is a scam.

I contacted CCK to review my rating. They were up front and took me on. They was able to raise my rating to 100% with precisely what the VA asked for. They are top notch when it comes to fighting for the veteran.
