I was at a loss with the issue I was having dealing with the negligence from my warranty company. Upon hiring Mr. Chappell, he went to work and almost immediately got a response from the warranty company. Unfortunately, after their first response they went quiet. Regardless, Mr. Chappell worked tirelessly and ultimately won me my case. Great attorney, does really well with communication. No complaints whatsoever.

I had storm damage to my dad's house and his insurance sent a crew of folks to see the situation then I got a letter saying that he was not covered. Insurance said it came through the roof and that it was cosmetic. They did not reply on the contents damage. I got hold of a construction company that did roofing and they recommended a law firm that deals with this sort of claim pro bono. They take 40% of all proceeds. I hired them and they sat on it for almost 2 years and stated that I could forget the contents damage( by law they don't get a percentage of that). I kept pushing that and they dropped me. Meantime the contractor said that this firm takes more than 40% and that he would not be able to fix the roof with what ever I would get. In panic and despair I started interviewing lawyers by phone prepared to pay out of my pocket for representation. I called many Houston Lawyers but Mathew Chappell stood out. He said it was basically breach of contract by the insurance company, He was calm, knowledgeable and said I did have a claim but it needed to be dealt with immediately. The insurance company played games in not accepting service. Mathew preserved. Mathew went beyond what any other attorney would do. When I couldn't fill out the complicated computer program form the insurance company demanded be filled out after days of trying and due that Monday I was in tears. Mathew filled it out on my behalf over the weekend. He came to the house TWICE to review the damage to understand the problem. He found expert witnesses and we hired an engineering firm then a brick specialist.to find out if in fact it was actually the roof. IT WAS NOT THE ROOF THAT CAUSED THE DAMAGE!!! 18 months of hashing out the roof with the incompetent firm I previously hired and the rouge insurance company who said it was the roof! We went to mediation twice and Mathew held firm. By this time I had total faith in Mathew if we had to go to court. Mathew Chappell knows his stuff. He knew my insurance policy better than the insurance company! The first set of lawyers said I could expect around $10k ( they take 40% of that) but that it would "put money in my pocket". MATHEW GOT ME A 6 FIGURE SUM! It worked out that over the year that he represented me I had only paid him 15% of my payout. WOW what a result ! I still can't believe that I went from frustration and despair to finding Mathew Chappell who more than exceeded my expectations. He was a pleasure to work with and even worked on weekends.
