Look elsewhere. This company is not what you want representing you in such private and personal affairs as divorce. Appears to be staffed by the UT law school frat house. My wife's lawyer outpaced them at every level. They are more concerned with their new office space than they are attending to your case. Impersonal, amateur, meter maids. Want matters handled with tact and grace, look elsewhere. Want to rest assured that they have you (and your kids) first and foremost on their mind, look elsewhere. Moving lawyers in the middle of a custody battle is a nightmare, so spare yourself the trouble, don't go here in the first place.

Brian represented me in my child custody case. I am not satisfied with the representation I received. I told Mr. Walters that I was dealing with an abusive alcoholic, someone I was afraid of and that I needed a strong attorney to represent me. He told me that he was my man. After a large retainer a lengthy process I finally had my custody orders in place. After numerous threats, harassment, and even an assault on my friend Brian continued to tell me that this was all just animosity and it would pass. I consulted another attorney who told me that the order that were in place were poorly written and had nothing in them to protect me from the man who abused me as we shared custody of our child. I recently had to call HPD to help enforce the orders and was told that they were written so vaguely, and that everything would just be an interpretation. I was advised by the officer and an advocate against domestic violence that I should speak with my attorney because the orders should be more specific. After a threat on my life I thought I would have some ground to get them amended but the DA never took the charges. I am told I don’t have a strong case to get the orders modified, and I would have to wait for my ex to assault me or abuse the child before a judge would consider amending the orders. I feel I did not have an advocate on my side. I would not hire him again to represent me. Update: Brian has answered my phone calls since this custody case has closed which was very helpful at the time but it does little to help the situation. The day that Mr. Walters asked me to amend this review, my ex got into a domestic dispute with his family assaulting his mother in front of our child, and then driving off drunk with my daughter in the car receiving a DWI. I have had my life threatened by him, harassed, my family threatened, my boyfriend assaulted and now my child put at risk. I asked to have sole custody when I first hired Brian, but was given the impression that I didn't have a strong enough case or the money for that. I expressed that one of my biggest fears was that my daughter would witness the violence I got away from, and I was terrified that he would drive drunk with her. I have gone to CPS, DA, Domestic Violence advocates and everyone tells me they can't do anything because the orders over ride any protective order etc. This man now has our daughter for 2 weeks unsupervised and I have no one to help protect her, not even the government agencies set up TO HELP her. This was a matter I needed handled right the FIRST time, and I don't feel this situation was. I shouldn't have to dish out more than 1/2 my yearly salary to protect my daughter from a man that has a history of abuse. I need to protect my daughter and STILL have money to provide a life for her.

I love my case manager. She was simply amazing, and the simple fact that she totally understood what I was going through really swept me off my feet. And her explanation of everything I asked made my experience that much better. I love this office..

Mr. Fickman was very knowledgable about my case. He was careful to explain things to me and my family. On one occasion he came to us instead of us coming to him, in so doing he retrieved useful information and made this client even more confident and comfortable. He was always firm, yet reassuring. DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY, he just took our money and left us alone until the judge had to call him to let him know that his client is waiting for over 1 hour, was paid in full no payments or debit cards, cash paid and has done nothing but to agree with prosecutors and was no help what so ever, BE CAUSHIOUS, DO NOT HIRE. Over 50 clients including myself trying to get back money and or call the better business of atorney General on this criminal you have been warned
