I feel that consultations should be free,not 500.00. Sometimes, you have to do greater good for the community. Everything should not be about money.

They could’ve told me early on that they were not gonna be able to be hired as my Representing lawyer. After I spent a year with them building the litigation stage they disappointed me. This company is very good with giving you. Hope that they knew what they’re doing. But they don’t secure me in -what if -next steps and how to better prepare myself. I asked many questions on how to prepare myself and what to do with the next steps. I was told all we can do is wait. After they knew what my situation was, they never once told me if you move forward with needing a lawyer They would not be available for me. I hired them to help me see what I was up against. They did nothing but write up a very vague dispute to the EEOC for me. I hired them to win and to answer my questions and help guide me to be able to win a case. Luckily, for me, I prepare myself to present something to a new lawyer when I felt the disappointment from them.

I was recently laid off. Called the Wiley Wheeler Firm to inquire about setting up a possible consultation. The receptionist who answered, I believe her name was Claire; was extremely cold and robotic. I started off the conversation by telling her why I was calling and she quickly cut me off about 3-4 seconds mid sentence to let me know that she “is not a lawyer”. (As if I was dumb enough to not know that?) She then quickly fired off a list of questions. It came off like I was talking to an irritated drive through employee at a fast food joint. She then quickly informed me of the next available apppointment and that I would need to pay right then and there in order to book. I told her that I would think about it but had no intention of moving forward. Honestly the price wasn’t bad but I felt like this lady couldn’t care less about my situation so I ended up calling around to the next place where the lady had compassion and even though it cost me $200 more I booked with them. I would HIGHLY recommend Claire be retrained in her approach. Her cutting me off was so abrupt and to the point that I honestly thought there was a glitch in the phone. When I tried to finish my sentence she cut me off again. I imagine a lot of people calling about employment issues have probably been through a lot and it doesn’t help the situation to be treated like that when your looking for help. Anyways, I hope this addressed with her.
