About a year and 6 months I was driving with my cousins when a bad car accident happened. The guy that hit us ran a red light and hit me on the driver side…. I lost consciousness! The guy stopped his vehicle and I asked him for his car insurance; he pulled up a gun and pointed it to me and my cousins. For a second I thought I was already dead again. The guy ran away…. My cousins were able to take a pic of his license plates. After that, we called the cops and ambulance came over and took us to the hospital. Luckily, we all were alive and saved. At the next day I called Smith & Hassler, things didn’t look right cause the guy that hit us denied the accident but Mr. Carter, the attorney who was handling our case was very helpful, he educated us and guided us during the whole process. Not knowing how things were gonna end up Mr. Carter, continued the process and at the same time we were getting medical treatment and we were seeing a chiropractor that helped us to recovered. After a long waiting time, Mr. Carter with Smith & Hassler was able to win 2 lawsuits on our favor and after thinking that everything was lost, all our hospital bills were paid off and we also received a good amount of money as part of the settlement for all injuries and hardship we went through. After wasting over a year and a half with my previous attorney, Andrew Bailey was the attorney I should have gone with in the first place. Andrew devoted his time and resources to what mattered the most and got things going right away. He was very logical yet I felt he really cared. He dealt with the legal aspect with such attention to detail, sensitivity, and in an ethical manner with a strong moral compass. Andrew Bailey is an excellent attorney and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs help with a family matter. He is responsive to emails and phone calls (including his secretary), timely, compassionate, understanding, knows the law and great at explaining, in simple terms, what could otherwise be a complicated process. I was recently in a car crash on the Katy Freeway feeder road. Another driver pulled out of a side street and crossed multiple lanes in front of me and caused the collision, but the police report didn’t mention that at all! There was an independent witness who, fortunately, saw the whole thing and gave me her name and number. Attorney Daragh Carter called the witness right away and took a statement from her over the phone, which he sent to the other driver’s insurance company. I was super worried that the police report was wrong, particularly because I didn’t have collision coverage for my vehicle, which had to be towed after the crash. Thanks to Daragh’s quick work in getting the statement, the other driver’s insurance company accepted liability and is paying for my vehicle. Huge relief. I think this shows how important it is to have an experienced lawyer who knows what to do when it matters.

Derek or Derrick not sure how to spell his name. He is rude and talked to me as if I was incompetent. My husband and I grew up watching the commercials for this law firm so we decided to give them a call after we got in an accident. Very condescending would not recommend. No conversation was needed further, we found a lawyer who saw value in our case. That is all, thank you.
