Do not use this law firm. I really wish I hadn't. Listen to the bad reviews, which unfortunately weren't there when I hired them for some reason. They ignore you constantly and never give any updates unless you constantly ask for them and even then, it's not even helpful. They switched paralegals so many times, I never knew who was no longer working there. We agreed on a flat fee if we didn't go to trial, but after all was said and done, even though we didn't go to trial, they still charged me double than what we agreed on. I don't even know what they charged me for, they literally never did anything at all. I don't even have kids. And the worst part is, when you're going through a bad divorce and you're at such a low point in your life and are hurting so much, you would think a divorce attorney would at least pretend to care or have compassion, but Andrew Bayley is just cold. Ignores emails and doesn't make any effort whatsoever, and the way he talks to you makes you feel like you're inconveniencing him and that you don't matter. Plus, when he finally does respond, he doesn't even answer all your questions. I really recommend Matt Tyson instead. I had a consultation with him too, but he charges a higher flat fee. I ended up paying a lot more in the end than I would have with him. Also, Matt Tyson and his paralegal were amazing whenever I spoke to them, and I really wish I used them instead. Don't make the same mistake I did just to save a little money. In response to the blatant lies, I definitely was a client, unfortunately. Matt has much more and better reviews than you to be wasting his time doing this. I'm obviously a Google Local Guide Level 7, so I'm a real person who has been reviewing for years. If you don't like the truth, then do better and treat your clients better, instead of grossly overcharging and forgetting they exist. You definitely did offer me a flat rate, liar. And now everyone will know.

The relief I felt after walking out of Smith & Hasslers office was astronomical. They were on top of EVERYTHING when it came to my case and ensured that I was knowledgeable of what was going on. The communication was FANTASTIC and I felt like Daragh Carter truly fought for me. If you want to feel heard and listened to, go to Smith & Hassler!

Chris had a straight forward approach to the situation at hand. He explained everything along the way and was available at any time to discuss/answer any questions we had either by phone/text/email. With his experience and professionalism, we obtained the best outcome possible which was getting the case dismissed! I would highly recommend Chris Denuna with no hesitation whatsoever. Five stars is definitely not enough!

I know my review is in the minority, but I did not have a good experience with this law firm. It came down to communication. I initiated all communication, had to constantly follow up to get any status update. I would be told either trials were taking place, or illness was preventing progress, which I understand those things come up. But my issue remained that these things were never communicated to me until I asked for any follow up. At the end of the day, I felt like I was not being taken seriously as a client and switched lawyers.

Beatrice Gonzales handled the case. DWI case that was able to be dismissed. This was for brazoria county. She is very knowledgeable and skilled. I definitely recommend her for any services that are needed.

I have personally referred more than one friend to Chris for DWI’s and he’s been able to get them ALL dismissed. Highly recommend, very savvy, knowledgeable and trustworthy!

Getting anything done with them seems to be impossible. My sister has been working with them on her case and I think she is more stress than I have ever seen her. Honestly she was better off doing this case herself. She been at it for over a year and still isn’t clear what’s going on and why things are not moving along. I told her to let them go but she will have to pay all those fees. Lesson learned for her.

I cannot recommend Daragh Carter enough! He was very friendly, informative and helpful. He gave updates throughout the entire process and made sure I was properly compensated. And the rest of the staff that I had encounters with were so nice as well.
