I honestly don't know how this man has a 4.8 rating. I'm sure he probably pays google to delete his negative reviews. Heres an HONEST review. My family paid this man $1,000 to take our case and I have never met a more MONEY-HUNGRY lawyer. He was extremely unhelpful and did nothing for our case in the 4 weeks that we had him represent us. When we caught on that he wasn't doing ANYTHING, we immediately hired a new lawyer and he took action THAT DAY. Our new lawyer scheduled an appointment with the judge on the same day that we hired him! We were in better hands with our new lawyer and felt safe in one day more than we ever did in one month of being represented by Mr. Benavides. DO NOT waste your money on this man! He is not trying to help you! There are better lawyers in the Houston area, I promise!

So few criminal defense lawyers are fearless. I was fortunate enough to assist Paul in a trial where his client was accused of sexually assaulting not one, but two children. The plea bargain offer from the DA was forty years in prison. Despite the horrific charges and the hanging judge, Paul guided the jury to vote for him and not the DA. Paul's client went home to his family after that trial. Paul was fearless and saved his client's life.
