I trusted this law firm. In 2011 social security determined I was disabled. When I moved in with my ex his income was too high, I lost benefits. Years of his abuse I left him in 2021. I was confident I’d be eligible for benefits, my mental and physical health have deteriorated exponentially since 2011. Years of medical documents, two severe cases of. autoimmune disorders. Recent lab-work shows markers of a third, rheumatoid arthritis too. Being punched with a fist blinded my left eye. Records from Ophthalmologists. Retina specialists. The abuse caused PTSD. Diagnosed bi polar since I was 14. So I have years upon years of medical history from numerous specialists and doctors. The correspondence from this law office was inconsistent, very difficult to get in touch with anyone. I would call and leave voicemails, emails, texts. Asking for help. Asking questions. I was instructed to do most of the investigative work by myself. A clinic in AZ with records dating back to when I was 19 went out of business. Searching through public records I found my treating physicians new clinic and contact information. I located the owner of the business and his lawyer. Took hours over weeks searching through public records. Called the AZ medical board. Called, emailed, text left voicemails to the AZ physician who treated me, the owner of the LLC as well as his attorney. I even found their cellphone numbers. Not one of them took me seriously until I mentioned I’d have my attorney contact them. That got their attention. I asked the legal assistant on my case to please reach out. I worked so hard to find their contact information. She didn’t even try. I filed a complaint with the AZ medical board hoping they would help me. I did all the work obtaining the rest of my records from each specialist, clinic, hospital… with the court date rapidly approaching I reached out multiple times. Didn’t hear anything until a very brief conversation the day before. The attorney claimed my case was strong. Mentioned the years I’ve been on routine infusions and immunotherapy . He was confident. After the court phone session I tried again to contact someone. I was panicking. I received the unfavorable decision by mail. The judge was so cruel. Law office finally called me back. Looked over my records and decided to appeal. He explained that they never appeal after an unfavorable decision. The entire process my condition continually worsened, more records were available, more evidence of my disability. I emailed the law office all contact information of each recent hospitalization, new clinic and explained current conditions. I asked if they wanted me to get the records. Was told yes. I emailed. I called but never heard from law office again. Completely defeated I gave up. Received a letter few days ago stating next process takes years, I won’t be approved, how unfair it is, maybe I could apply again sometime… so sorry but we are abandoning you and your case. I regret trusting them. I am Immunocompromised, such frequent infections I’m prescribed routine antibiotics. Was just hospitalized for orbital cellulitis…. Had a mental breakdown because it’s extremely painful. I mentioned how terrified I was that it would happen again when my rheumatologist prescribed a new infusion medication. Orbital cellulitis is one of my worst fears, crazy how I predicted it would happen again. Any infection or virus destroys my body. I’ve been having frequent panic attacks, one caused a seizure a couple weeks ago. My abuser hasn’t stopped harassing me. Visiting the domestic violence division at HPD tomorrow, I need a second protection order, hopefully this judge will help me.

My VAWA case was finally approved!!! Many thanks to God & Premium Law Firm for their hard work in pursuing my VAWA case to the finish! I remember the first day I entered Barrister Uche's office with tears in my eyes because the woman I married locked me out of the house & swore I would never get my Greencard after a little misunderstanding. I want to share my experience with Makris Law Firm Houston Disability Lawyer over 2 years. First I want to Thank Victor Makris for putting professionals in place to work my disability claim case and I was approved. I was denied twice than I had a hearing via phone with a administrative Judge so I was able to vividly explained to the judge why I needed disability. The process was truly draining after my brain surgery 2 years ago I really needed help with filling out the forms and I told my case manager Belinda via email. I was never able to get in touch with her doing the 2 years but until the very end and she made herself available plus she contacting more. Mostly I spoke with other staff members about my case they were helpful. I was disappointed that Victor Makris personally did not represent me doing the hearing but a lawyer that works for his firm- I did not know him and spoke to once before my hearing. Again in closing I am happy I was approved for my claim. My quality of life was forever changed and now finally received help. I recommend this Law Firm but overall they need to do better in the waiting process with communication and being more helpful with the client. I hope this help with making a decision to go with Makris Law Firm They are taken good care of me and I am thankful.
