“She would be with you in ten minutes,” the secretary told us. We sat and waited patiently. Our meeting was at 11 a.m., and after a long drive, it allowed us to put our paperwork together; however, with the question lingering in our mind, she had never been late. After a couple of minutes, the secretary picked up to answer the ringing phone. From her conversation, I realized that the person on the other end of the line was the attorney asking about us and how we are doing. Then the secretary turned to us and said, “the attorney is on her way.” A happy, energetic, pompous professional attire and promising face and look were what we were expecting to receive. We did receive the promising, smiley, and happy face but not the usual attorney we used to see for the last five years. She came in with a look obvious to any common mortal sense that she had been through numerous health struggles and physical pain and on the top of them all, with a broken arm, yet dressed to the best of the capacity of a lady with one arm from shoulder to wrist wrapped in plaster hanging around her neck in a sling. She greeted us and apologized for being late. We entered her office expecting that the meeting would be shorter than what we were told, for her condition did not constitute anything else. There were three piles of papers and documents on her desk, demonstrating the length of time of the accident and all the physical struggles. She placed herself on her chair; got into the job. Asked for our documents to be reviewed and made sure everything was in the order of what we have been instructed previously. From time to time, she needed physical assistance to flip through papers or unsheathe some documents which were given by my spouse. We told her we could leave early or come back later when she was more comfortable and less pain. “No, No. No, I am fine. We must go through this together today,” she said. It seemed she was more determined than us to finish what we went there for to her office. Despite our expectation for a short meeting, our meeting lasted considerably more than what we expected. Not a single page left unmarked. All pages were looked at, checked, confirmed; some were given updated instructions and handed back. Then she said, “this is my personal line, which you must call me once you are at the designated office.” We were preparing to leave the office, both my spouse and I filled with hope and expressing good wishes for her health and family and still under the impression of her devotion, professional behavior, time expectations and management, accuracy, and on top of all her treatment of our case as her own. It was time to leave the office, for we now were thinking that the meeting was getting too long. She again said,” do not forget to call me once you are at the designated office,” she continued, “make sure you have the right address; of course, I will send it to you again.” She then smiled, moved from her desk, and accompanied us to the secretary, and gave the secretary the last instructions and assurance that she would see through them all and check on us accordingly. In the middle of her office, she was standing with an arm in a sling and an overall look of a professional lady who did her best to keep the expression of attire to the maximum ability of an individual with the half potential of physical performance. Yet, with a heartful smile and wish of good luck to us, we departed. When we left the office, all we thought was what she did, and now we realize that all she considered was how we would do and the outcome of the time and devotion which she graciously gave to make our life better and prove that she deserves her name. Pegah Rahgozar is the best immigration attorney to hire anytime all the time. She displays great expertise in her profession, very respectful and punctual. I never once had to call her office to follow up on any issue since she was always on top of her game and very results oriented. Rahgozar Law Firm finally made the last three years of stress and anxiety melt away. My husband and I filed our I-485 and I-130 in September of 2017. Had I known how much we were going to go through; I would have hired an attorney from the start. We used a company located in Rosenberg (I think) in a strip mall. The business staff was very nice, but they did miss some items on our application that Attorney Rahgozar noticed. We had our interview in February of 2019, and after that heard nothing. We kept calling USCIS for an update with no results except they received our request and a notice was sent. We never received that notice even though we used the form on the USCIS website to notify a change of address last November. Finally, in January of this year, we looked for an attorney and found Pegah Rahgozar. Thank goodness we did as USCIS had sent the notice to the wrong address. Ms. Rahgozar was very kind when listening to our case. She sent us very detailed and thorough emails with the steps and documentation to gather (COVID19 had already started). Even though all our correspondence was by phone or email, She or her colleague Yenifer always responded to our communication timely and told us exactly what we needed to do. USCIS had sent a letter of intent to deny. It was crazy as one of the reasons they were going to deny was that I had not proven I was US Citizen?? I was born here and lived in the US all my life. We sent the mountain of documents to Ms. Rahgozar’ s offices and she compiled a huge file response that she sent to USCIS. They reopened our application which they had sent a denial notice, and my husbands’ application for the green card was finally approved on July 9th. I highly recommend Ms. Rahgozar and her team.
