Titus Law Firm, took all the excitement a home buyer would normally have durning the purchase of a new home. Instead it was all replaced by overwhelming stress and unnecessary out of pocket expenses. Due to their lack of good business standards, and the delay of our closing we were forced to stay in a hotel for an extensive amount of time. During our stay at the hotel we aquired over $ 3000 in expenses which were not budgeted for. The hotel stay was a big inconvenience to me and my family. Both me and my husband made the mistake of trusting these attorneys to handle our property closing and let me say this was a Big mistake! They hit us with a fat $3,000 retainer fee, swearing up and down we'd close by 02.26.2024. Unfortunately they couldn't get it together and dragged it out nearly three weeks– it caused a lot of unnecessary stress especially to my daughter who is disabled. Personally, I think for the amount of money they were paid to this firm we expected them to be more professional and timely holding to their word for a much smoother transition. Instead our calls and emails were ghosted. When our calls were returned we were given excuses that were unacceptable and quite frankly ridiculous. Their business ethics are shady especially their billing process. The night before our closing at 9:00pm that our $3,000 was "almost drained" and demanded another $3,000 for "anticipated work." What a scam! We were notified that our hourly charge of $250 had doubled to $450. We called several times questioning our extremely high bill they always claimed that the attorney was in a meeting and offered no explanation. Last and foremost they tried to tack on an additional $5,715. When we questioned the charge we were told that this charge was an outsource fee for an agent that we did not utilize by the name of Marina Okorocha the sellers agent from Bian Realty. We were then advised that this charge was a finders fee for attorneys. Thank GOD our AGENT JAVON CROSS caught this and we were able bring it to everyone’s attention for revisions to be made. Titus Law Firm does not hold up to their word and their slick responses won't fool anyone. Save yourself the headache and stay far away!

I wouldn’t recommend this law firm to anyone very unprofessional. I went to visit lawyer Titus instead of him asking me questions about my land he wanted to take me out on a date telling me how good I looked. I was very appalled and disappointment. I got up and walked out. He came behind me trying to apologize.

I originally hired Titus law firm for a simple probate. My mother passed away and I am just trying to figure out how be a beneficiary. I was originally quoted by them for 4000$ I have a simple case that was not contested. It’s been almost a year and no court date and they are demanding more money. I would absolutely not recommend this firm they will steal from you and leave you in a state of despair while you are dealing with the death of a loved one. I paid them 5000$ and received very little progress or updates. They also allowed two lawyers to charge my account and then leave the firm. This is the absolute worst situation possible. I would recommend staying away from this firm the fact that they will steal from my dead mother and myself a disabled veteran shows the callous nature and disregard for the service they should provide. I don’t understand how they have a law license with their questionable billing practices. If you want to get your money stolen and not receive a service I highly recommend them. The only thing that separates them from a common criminal is the suits. I thought I was supporting a black business however they are nothing but a licensed Ponzi scheme with a nice website

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! Do not fall for the many 5 star reviews like I did. This place is horrible! Just like the last comment. I paid over $5k and little, if any work was done. When I tried to end services, they depleted my down payment, taking the full money! Sent several emails to figure out this billing issue and NEVER received a response. After paying all of that, they state "I will need a new contract." You hire attorneys to help you, because the average person does not know the law and these people ended up screwing me over! **If you have been taken advantage of like me, I suggest you file a complaint with the Houston Bar Association*** [Regretfully, I am an existing client by the name of Jennifer Alva and nothing in my case changed that would require a new contract and or more monies. "Work for free" how is that so, if I have paid your firm over $5k and like the other comments, received a disgraceful service. No need to contact your firm, they have already showed they operate as a SCAM!]

Couldn't reach anyone

If I could give zero stores I would. I paid $460 for a 10 minute consultation and only needed one thing. Help with speaking to a life insurance investigator. They couldn't even do that for me. Said they would at the office before I left but sent me an email the next day saying they weren't going to do it, but I was free to call them if I needed help but of course more fees would be involved. I didn't even get any information that I didn't already know during the consultation. I would have been much better off just blowing the money at least I would have had fun. I still need a probate firm that will not be hiring them unless they pay mall or put that consultation fee towards the probate fee. I lost my mother then my fiance a month apart and these people prayed upon me for money I didn't have to waste. I truly have no idea how they could justify that much money for a quick conversation. Then the audacity to offer their help if I need it. But fees would be involved on top of the 500. So they're charging $3,000 an hour to not file any paperwork or go to court and I had to drive clear across town to get there for a simple, worthless consultation that gave me no new information whatsoever. Meanwhile, most attorneys give a free consultation. Beware buyer beware!!!!
