AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME is what I have to say about Ms. Shreya Gulamali. She is a very professional and understanding attorney, who keeps you informed along the process. She was able to get my DWI charge DISMISSED. I would definitely recommend her for any criminal consultation. She just has one request, that you know her name whenever you are asked who's your attorney while in court(smile).

There was an assault case put on me by a family member. I was innocent and this great Lawyer fought for me. I gave her all the necessary documents and there was a lot I was going to lose from my home and losing my job because of this pending in my background thanks to her it was dismissed in a short period of time I had time limit to meet as well or I was going to lose my home as well. I’m going to get my job back and home too. This pending in my background hurt my job and my family without income no home. A mother of 4 kids single parent. Shreya Gulamali accepted to be my court appointed attorney in a case in Harris county. Ms. Gulamali was thorough, firm and very direct with me about the law and the possible consequences surrounding my case. I was broken, felt defeated and somewhat in denial of what might lie ahead. This was my 3rd felony in 2 years and was very possibly facing 2-10 years in the State Jail. Ms. Gulamali was my court appointed attorney while I was incarcerated, then represented me in my case. She narrowed my options down in terms I could clearly understand: 1) Try to persuade the DA to greatly lessen the time I might serve if guilty because of extenuating circumstances; 2) Reset the case for a Trial by Jury (in which there could be no plea bargaining at that point) or 3) Send it to the Grand Jury and try to get the evidence suppressed and the case Dismissed (also no bargaining if it went the other way) I decided to try Option 1. Ms. Gulamail got the DA down to 120 days in Harris County, as opposed to State Jail, under the 1244a of the Texas Penal Code. With Harris County giving 3 for 1 days of time served, I did not have a lengthy road ahead of me. I feel like I got a great deal with Ms. Gulamali representing me. It might not have been so generous with someone else. I would absolutely hire her again.

We first met Ms. Gulamali when she was a court appointed attorney for my son. When he got into trouble again, I did not hesitate to hire Shreya. She returns phone calls and emails promptly (which has not always been my experience); she works with you on the cost; but the best part was the way she communicated with my son (her client) in a respectful tone of voice with full honesty. He has been fighting addiction so he has been treated like an animal by many in the system. Shreya recognized his desire to get well and gave him a very fair defense. This woman is smart and compassionate and I would highly recommend her if ever find yourself in trouble in Harris County.
