In October 2021 I had a car wreck that honestly has devastated my family’s entire life. I called Thomas j Henry attorneys and to my delight they took me on as a client. I started out so optimistic and yet somewhere along this journey I feel that the ball was dropped. This ball was dropped several times. It is now going on into October 2022 and we are finally at the final stages of this suit. I started with one attorney and throughout this process has been shuffled from multiple attorneys, many times. I feel that I had to call for updates often or there would be times I would not hear from them. I rented a car in the beginning out of pocket and have never been reimbursed for my rental costs. I received my property damage, but these funds went to catch up on my past due bills and other costs. I have even went as far as to try and get them all the bills from hospitals and do some of the ground work to speed up the process. I have had to do humiliating things that I have never thought I’d ever have to do. I have had to ask for rental assistance on more than one occasion, I’ve had to have help with paying my utilities and cell phone bill on multiple occasions for it to not be disconnected. Then recently having to contact catholic charities and other charity organizations for assistance, Well, everything came to a head this past September when I was unable to pay my rent and needed to request an emergency disbursement of funds. I have been barely scraping by and the last few months have become the hardest. I had to ask my mother and other family members and clients for money. I was humiliated, embarrassed, and completely felt that my needs were irrelevant to Thomas J Henry. I had told the attorney at least a couple months prior how difficult of a time we were having financially. That paying for a rental car financially was draining us. Fast forward to October 1st. I was called by the new attorney on the case. She was new to the firm and called me the first day to introduce herself and I explained to her all of the grievances and difficulties we were having. She listened, apologized, but she listened. Even when I broke down, defeated into tears. She so patiently calmly assured me things were going to be ok. She got on the ball and hit the ground running. She got the disbursement approved and called me to come to pick up the check. I feel like finally we are going to have someone in our corner fighting for us. She listened to me when I called her crying, upset over potentially getting evicted with no place to live. She listened…just listened…I just wanted to be heard and Ms. De’Andrea Taylor in my opinion, is the best attorney Thomas j Henry has ever hired. I feel like we will be closer than ever getting this cause resolved and over now that she is in our corner.
