Sometime ago I was talked into an investment where it was a very convincing, lucrative deal. In and out in about 6-12 months. I did my own due diligence, the best I could, and decided to invest. Fast forward four years, after relentless pursuits, broken promises and lies, all communication ceased with the person that took my investment. This is when I realized I wasn’t going to get my investment back without legal action. The debtor was slimy and slick. I knew I needed a skilled attorney as I had gotten to know my debtor. I had reached out to a few attorneys but wasn’t impressed with any of them. I was able to find legal history with my debtor and called one of the law firms that represented others such as myself against this individual. That last firm referred me to Kristin Jain. The first phone call with Ms. Jain gave me a lot to think about. She spoke of the pros and cons of this legal pursuit and never oversold the matter. Ms. Jain cared about my outcome and how this ordeal had affected me. I know this because at the time she didn’t have a retainer and spent her own time advising me about my options. I took the plunge and paid for the retainer. Shortly after, Ms. Jain went to work on the recovery of my funds, keeping me updated each step of the way. She was crafty and wise about how she methodically closed the loop on my debtor through various legal obligations she imposed on him.
