Susan made herself available to me when no one else would. I reached out to over 20 local lawyers who claimed to practice landlord-tenant law, and she was one of two that responded. The first one explained frankly that the laws are tipped in favor of the landlord most of the time. He continued saying (in his opinion) most lawyers tend to primarily represent landlords, due to the scope of the economy. He sent me his rates in case I decided to hire him and wished me good luck. Susan however, reached out to me right away. Her initial consultation was thorough, and she listened intently. She asked objective questions to ensure my approach was diligent when I researched and ethical when I took any actions. That protected me from making a fool of myself also. There was always clear communication and direction, regardless of how busy she was. I never felt alone in the process, and she was true to her word. I understand now that the process for tenants to exercise their rights can technically be without legal representation. However, it really shouldn't be done without consultation. As much research as I did, it was critical to have an objective lawyer guide me through the process. We tend to only read the things we want to see. Sometimes it’s possible to interpret something incorrectly thinking a certain statute may be in our favor when it isn’t. This is why I highly recommend Susan. She has decades more experience than most of the lawyers who were listed when I was searching, and still finds a way to make her services accessible to people who need them.

She provided these services in a highly efficient manner, and at rates which I consider to be very competitive. Susan kept us fully informed of various steps in the eviction process during the COVID issues that affected court procedures. At the hearing she was clearly the most prepared of any legal representative there. This definitely paid off with a ruling in our favor. For the wills there was a time constraint, and she worked through the weekend to get them completed for us. Everything except the signing was done remotely, which saved us a lot of time. Susan is an amazing attorney who gets results. I have used her as counsel for several different issues. I have not been disappointed.
