Mere words can not describe what a great lawyer Scott Callahan is. He is not your typical lawyer. He is one of the most compassionate people I know. Not only did Scott represent me in my case but he is the only attorney that has taken the time to learn about the rare syndrome that my accident caused. My accident caused a life altering and very painful disease called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome or CRPS. About six months in to my illness, I partnered with a friend who had produced the only documentary out there about CRPS, to bring it to Houston for a private screening. The film is called Trial By Fire and when I asked for Scott to help, he rented River Oaks Theater for our event. The event was a huge success, thanks to Scott and I don't know any other lawyer that would be that involved. He also recently co-hosted a CRPS Educational Symposium this past November. Scott Callahan represented my daughter in a personal injury action against a driver who hit her SUV and the relevant insurance companies. Scott and his legal assistant did a great job of keeping the client informed, explaining the law in layman's terms, prepping my daughter for depositions and handling the case in general. Overall, the firm was very pleasant to work with and we were very pleased with the settlements Scott negotiated with the insurance companies and his efforts to control litigation costs to maximize the recovery for my daughter. The case took 3 years to settle but I believe the insurance companies caused the delay in hopes that my daughter would settle for less.
