I have known Alex Hunt for some time - I taught with Alex at a local charter school through TeachForAmerica, and we both eventually ended up at the same law school. I can say with certainty that Alex is an amazing advocate for children, whip-smart, morally upright, and generally the most upstanding human being I know. When my now ex-spouse surprised me with a divorce filing, Alex was my first call. Given our friendship, and also the fact that I anticipated a relatively straightforward divorce and custody proceeding, I asked Alex to recommend one of his capable associates to handle my case. Melissa Masoom was a godsend, and I cannot recommend her enough. She was professional at all times, sympathetic and understanding during a difficult situation, an excellent advocate who walked me through the entire process (despite being a lawyer myself, I knew absolutely nothing about family law prior to this experience), responsive, and cool-headed despite being opposite an attorney who was aggressive, abrasive, and unreasonable in many respects. If you find yourself in the unenviable position of contemplating or navigating divorce, or dealing with attenuated custody issues, I highly recommend reaching out to the Hunt Law Firm and, in particular, asking to speak with Melissa. When I was going through a divorce, I was looking for legal support that also put the father's rights in mind. Hunt Law Firm was suggested and I contacted them and Bri took my consultation. From day 1 I felt heard, supported, and that someone had my back while I went through a very hard time in my life. She was well informed, she thought of questions I might have but didn't think about, and explained everything clearly, from the next divorce steps to child support. While having to talk to lawyers can be nerve-wracking, Bri made me feel at ease and treated me like I was the most important client. Highly recommend! Typically nobody wants to end up at a family law firm but Hunt Law firm made it as pleasant as possible. David Teasdale did an excellent job with my uncontested divorce. He followed my lead on my preferences and did a great job of explaining pros and cons of the options.I appreciated that he spent the time needed to meet my wishes. He and Tosha did a great job staying in contact. There was never a time I couldn't get ahold of him and he responded to email and calls quickly. The cost was very reasonable and in the end the process was highly efficient and got my divorce done quickly and drama free.
