I am currently struggling with the final steps of my divorce with another law firm and reached out to Tisdale Law Firm for a 2nd opinion (free consult) on how best to proceed. Mr. Tisdale was available and able to help guide me so that I have the best chance at finalizing my divorce. My experience with Tisdale Law Firm is that the firm lacked integrity. I was not well represented by Josh and the staff communication was poor. Basically, Josh overpromised and underdelivered. I received poor or no counsel regarding my case and I believe Josh and the opposing council were collaborating for their own benefit and not my needs. Josh was unprepared at the mediation hearing and the case precedence he was using to support my case were old and did not specifically apply to my case. Halfway through the mediation, it was just me and the mediator. Neither Josh nor The Tisdale Law Firm staff would meet me in person. I would have to ask questions about my case via email several times with no responses. When I finally did get a response, I was charged for all the emails. I had to discuss unwarranted charges with the office manager several times. Staff were unable to provide me with any knowledge about process or proceedings saying only that they had to consult Josh. Basically, "paralegals" functioned as messengers. At the close of my case, Josh had filed incorrectly completed paperwork with the court, which I had to consult a different attorney to file on my own and deal with opposing council on my own to rectify the incorrectly filed paperwork. Bottom line, if Josh will not meet you personally face-to-face at the initial consultation; you should reconsider another counsel for representation. If Josh does meet you face-to-face at initial consultation. Perhaps you have a chance for a different client experience. As for me, seriously considering reporting this law firm to the Texas Bar!!

A complete waste of money! First meeting, they give you the warm and fuzzy telling you what can and will happen. Then they get to court and completely fails to follow through. We did a custody revision case with him, and after $8,000, we got absolutely no change, even though he told us the things we were wanting we could absolutely get. FRAUD!!!

I was told on 3 seperate occassions a lawyer would contact me..... nothing.

First free consultation was good - he instills confidence. After he is hired, it's a completely different story. You cannot get him on the phone (you have to schedule a phone appointment). He took days and sometimes weeks to return my emails. He billed me between $800 and $1,600 each month and would not even tell me what that was for as our case was stagnant. In court, he was completely unprepared - he fumbled thru his laptop the entire time trying to question witnesses when opposing counsel had tabbed binders ready and asked very specific and pointed questions. Do NOT hire this law firm unless you want to be very disappointed, over-charged, and left in the dark. I ended up firing him in the middle of my case and finished with another attorney who won my case for me in less than 6 weeks. I highly recommend Brittany Darby if you need an attorney - stay far away from this firm.
