I have worked with Morgan and Julie during my claim process. They both have been excellent to work with. If I had any questions I would email them and always had a quick response back. If I had to speak with them, my calls were always taken.

I reached out because I had a simple hearing regarding an Enforcement of Child Support. The day we had the consultation I paid my full retainer fee. Many said I didn't need a lawyer, but I felt peace of mind knowing that I had back up. During the consultation I tried giving information regarding the NCP's character that I felt my lawyers may need to help with the case. I remember whomever I spoke with stating, "lets hope we won't need any of that." Looking back now, I wished I would have stepped away then and saved myself some money. Moving forward to a couple days before my hearing, I called their office because I hadn't heard from anyone other than the invoices coming in. I expressed how the hearing is in a few days and was wondering what the game plan was, her words to me were- "Well, let me ask you, what are you expecting or wanting to happen?" I was taken a bit back. I responded saying, " I don't know, I payed $3000 for representation, maybe request lawyers fees, a lump sum, I don't know." She responded saying we can't ask for lawyers fees etc. Which is fine, I don't know the rules, but ultimately the sense I got was there was no game plan and her words to me, " It's up to the judge" -that statement was obvious to me. So I asked her, " So I am paying $3,000 (retainer) for you to tell me it's up to the judge?" Right there I requested their withdraw of representation. I wish I would have been told this during the consultation instead of wasting over $1,100 on emails and communication. Fast forward to the hearing after a continuance request. I overheard the numbers his defense was offering to pay before we went up to see the judge, they're excuses on why the defendant wasn't able to work and why he currently couldn't pay. Luckily, with that information, I was able to put together my closing argument. I represented myself while his lawyer tried to intimidate me and tarnish my character in front of the judge. (Ironically, the information during the consultation that I was told "let's hope we don't need") The judge saw eye to eye with my defense. I was granted what I requested with the exception of putting a lien on their house (He's in a huge amount of arrears $60k+) which I felt with the proper education and knowledge or proper representation I may have been granted. The judge told me he knows I am not a lawyer, but there is a right way to submit certain evidence. ( His defense attorney stated he didn't have any assets under his name, which was a lie, I had proof that their $650k home was under both their names. But clearly that evidence was considered hearsay.) I was very disappointed thinking that Carlson Law firm could have been there to better represent me or guide me, Instead, I got - "It's up to the judge." This is just my experience. I hear them advertising for Injury a lot so maybe that's what they specialize in, but not family law, as simple as my case was, (clearly, I got through it with a win without representation) I felt truly disappointed. I even emailed them on 06/30/2024 at wecare@carlsonattorneys.com as they typically suggest in their bad reviews, I have yet to hear back. Do extensive research when seeking a lawyer for your particular needs, ask lots of questions.

Jessica was a pleasure to work with. She was always communicating with me and helping me to understand the process. Would recommend anyone who needs a personal injury lawyer to come here.

I selected Carlson Law Firm to represent me because they were local, had a good reputation and had the resources to act in my behalf. When I talked to my representative, Rubi, I stated that in the end I wanted the firm to handle all the bills and pay them, and I wanted some money to buy a new bicycle. Rubi handled the bills, assisted in finding doctors and services to help in my recovery and I had enough money to both buy a new bicycle and get on with my life.
