After a friend died, I was handed her “hand written” will. Unfamiliar with estates or legal matter of such, I turned to a family attorney and colleague of my deceased father-in-law who had also been an attorney. After reading the will, I was told to “drop it like a hot potato and run”. My friend had no heirs, no family to turn to and had saved all her life with hopes to be memorialized by posthumous philanthropic deeds. So I couldn’t let her down. H. Steven Byers reviewed the will and told me he had no problems working with it and has since provided ongoing counsel for all matters in a complex estate. He has been patient and concerned in everything have brought to him. He has advocated for me and for the deceased in all matters concerning her estate. It’s been almost 3 years. In this time, he has now assisted me in legal matters for estate planning for my own family members. I do not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who need legal services, no matter how complicated or intimidating it might be.

What could have and should have been a very messy situation, Mr Byers brought peace and clarity above and beyond what I could have hoped for. His quick response to every question I had, including calling me back himself on a holiday weekend when I first called his office, made the entire process bearable and manageable. I think my Review Title says a lot for an attorney! Have you ever worked with an attorney before? We have! It's normally NOT a pleasurable experience, especially if you are looking for an attorney for the 1st time. It's a frightening and overwhelming experience! Through our many experiences with Steven Byers, on many different legals issues, we have found that he is very compassionate and efficient about every situation. He walks you through each process step-by-step, speaks to you in terms that you can understand and more importantly answers any and all questions you may have no matter if they are big or small.
