Sloan Firm"s Longview office could not have been more amazing with regard to my car wreck injured shoulder. I happened to be a passenger in a friend's Dodge Durango when we were hit by a vehicle traveling a super unsafe speed. Some interesting movement of the heavy Durango was caused by the speeding car. On impact we were completely turned 180 degrees and actually hit another vehicle which was traveling West in the far left lane of West bound lane on Nasa Parkway. The Durango continued to move to the far right West bound lane of Nasa Parkway. At that landing the Durango was hit by a 4th vehicle innocently involved in this debacle. The impact of the wreck was unbelievably a most powerful strike causing both the driver and me to be forced headfirst in the right side of the Durango. I was unable to breathe. The contusion of my lungs kept me unable to catch more than one breath at a time. I was the first to be carried off by ambulance to the HCA Hospital. While hospitalized I was diagnosed with contusion of my lungs PLUS my left shoulder's top ACL was completely snapped and the armpit ACL was torn. The snapped ACL caused my collar bone to reshape my left shoulder. The injury was declared a Grade 4 ACL separation. Had the injury been a Grade 5 separation my collar bone would have risen through my skin. With the almost five years that have passed since the wreck, my left shoulder now crackles and pops with some movements . My Friend -- the driver of the Durango had to be cut out by the 'Jaws of Life' and then transported to the HCA Hospital because of injuries to his back. My nephew by marriage works for the Sloan Firm as an investigator. I am so fortunate that my nephew convinced Mr. Ray Hatcher to be my injury attorney AND Ms.Kena Ridge, as Paralegal extraordinaire! The wreck occurred on Nasa Parkway very near the Nassau Bay Hilton Hotel. I can only say that although I live in Houston, Sloan Firm's Ray Hatcher and Kena Ridge performed their work in Longview, Texas. They each were powerful, inciteful, calming, and strong allies with me regarding my case.
