I was trapped in an abusive relationship with my ex-husband; scared to leave because I was his victim. Joedy was the only lawyer who made me feel secure with my decision to leave and illuminated my rights. From my first meeting with her, she was diligent and thought 30+ steps ahead of my ex-husband. She cut through his manipulative and controlling behavior to address the real issues, my safety and security. She dealt with an unreasonable man, in the most respectful way, from a place of strength. During this process my ex-husband learned a lot of lesions regarding strong, independent, smart and resilient women; not only from my leaving him, but through his interaction with her. Every time I needed her, she was there; no questions. During the negotiation phase of my divorce, she was outstanding with her skillful ability to navigate what seemed like impassable problems, find creative solutions, and stood resolute with my decisions. Regardless of my emotional state, she counseled me by telling me what I needed to hear, not always what I wanted to hear. Joedy was there even after the divorce decree was signed and my ex-husband tried to manipulate me into renegotiating. In a markedly difficult situation she performed above and beyond what I thought any lawyer would do. I am privileged to have had her as my representation and know that she will continue illuminate rights to those who think they don’t have them. Thank you Joedy!

Spoke with receptionist on the phone in regards to a potential case. I was very discouraged and disappointed after talking to her. All the reviews showed 5 star & great experience but I was thoroughly disappointed. The lady made me feel as if my "potential case" was not worth their time. She never even stated if she was a paralegal, secretary or even a case manager. After giving her a brief discription she immediately discredited my situation and experience and told me it would cost thousands of dollars and we wouldn't win. I called to simply see if this was a route I was going to pursue hoping the Lawyer would help me to determine that. Not the lady who answers the phone and heard a quick summary. I don't recommend this office. I gave them a 1 but I wouldn't even go that far.

Joedy is very meticulous and extremely thorough in her knowledge of family law. She has a genuine compassion and understanding for the intricacies of complex family situations and definitely cares for the children involved. She is very quick to get back to you and address any issues or concerns that may arise throughout the course of your case. She is fair, honest, and will work very hard on your case for the money you invest in her. She will be realistic with you in terms of your expected outcome. She works well with other key players, i.e.: judges, opposing attorneys, child advocates, best interest attorneys etc. and will utilize these players as resources to assist in your case. As a mother herself, she was very empathetic to our personal situation but I do believe she would also display the same level of compassion to fathers as well. She is genuine, hard working, and fabulous at what she does. I would highly recommend her to anyone with family law needs.

Joedy was fabulous with helping me establish safe parenting time, final decision making (until certain parameters met) and child support.
