After giving Bria more money than one ever should only to have her not to do the paperwork needed to get my whiteness on the stand which would have been a game changer!! Had she done the correct paperwork the outcome would have been drastically different! She also let a SUB PAR attorney she hired take over my case which after paying Bria for 2.5 years for this co attorney (which did nothing right) so Bria finally fired her so I had wasted Tons of money so Bria took control back of my case. In short this divorce that I was married to a professional scammer for 2.5 years took me 4.5 years to get out of and she along with him resulted in me loosing nearly $700,000 due to Bria NOT doing her job correctly!!! So would I recommend Bria Larson… That would be a HUGE NO!!!!!! Spare yourself a ton of money and go get real representation that does their job correctly!!!!!

I ended up being referred to Bria when I fired an attorney. My case was a disaster from lack of interest on the other attorney. Bria took the time to go over my order and fix it. She is great at explaining things and doesn't make you feel left out. I highly highly recommend hiring her!! She is very knowledgeable and I wish I would have hired her from the beginning. You won't be disappointed with her work. She's very professional, honest and knows her stuff!

I attempted to complete my divorce on my own to save money and it turned out to be a nightmare. I was giving up a lot more then i should have been in ordered to keep the divorce civil. I realized I was not cut out for the level of attention to detail and needed the best for my children while still being fair. I found Bria Larson after reading several great reviews. I consulted with her one time and my stress levels dropped dramatically! She gave me options that I would have never thought about and solved my problems in a way that benefitted me and my children but was also fair. I had to do nothing else and she even hand delivered the decree to the judge to sign it. I cannot say enough good and I would highly recommend her to anyone with a difficult divorce. Divorce is not a pleasant thing but when it is necessary it is helpful to have a lawyer that takes the time to understand your troubles and tailor their services to fit your needs.

When I found myself embroiled in the criminal justice system, I call Robin McCarty. I was afraid and facing a very uncertain future. Robin expertly and honestly evaluated my situation. He did not make any empty promises; instead, he promised only that he would do his best. And that is exactly what he did. Ultimately, I obtained a result that I neither expected nor deserved. If anyone finds themselves dealing with a criminal case, Robin McCarty is the one to call. He delivers results!

The first thing Robin McCarty did was lay out my case, the possibilities - both good and bad - with straight forward, even if brutal, honesty. Many people have ended up with dire consequences because their case was sugar coated and made to look like no problem. Robin sits with you and tells you the truth. Robin then carefully, patiently, guided me through the process for almost two years - the end result was a full dismissal of charges. One unique thing about Robin, he was a former peace officer and previous prosecutor - so he understood both sides of the system. This was tremendously helpful. I call him Robin because he is a really great guy and it didn't take long before I realized he truly cares about his clients and is just as concerned about their future as any loved one would be. Overall, I would highly recommend Robin McCarty.

Gregg Lundberg represented me during my divorce and he and his staff were nothing short of amazing. They were communicative and receptive to my concerns. Gregg always kept me updated as to what was happening. Although it was a long and tedious process I never felt left in the dark. During trial he was well prepared and extremely knowledgable. I was very impressed with him and his staff from start to finish. I recommend him to anyone looking for an attorney.

Greggory Lundberg is the best attorney around...hands down!!! He will fight for you and slays in court. I was very impressed, as I hired Mr. Lundberg after I was taken back to court to modify child custody...less than a month after my divorce being finalized. He went over an beyond to fight my case and presented all the evidence in a well experienced and and thought out way. This man is a genius and is passionate about what he does. The lord blessed me when I decided to go with him. I cannot recommend him enough!!! Five Star attorney!!!!

What Questions Should I Ask Before Hiring a Lawyer?

Hiring the right lawyer is crucial for the success of your case. Here are some important questions to ask during your initial consultation:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the expected timeline for my case?

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Midlothian, Texas?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
