Effective in court and achieves favorable outcomes for clients
“Got me Not Guilty. Thank you Mr. Aguilar for all you have done for me, it has also affected my family and work in a positive way.”
2
Provides personalized attention and communication
“Mr. Aguilar upon hiring him he gives you his personal cell phone number, he does not need to do that, most other attorneys give you only the office number, and off course he is not going to be able to answer his cell phone majority of the time because he is busy representing people in court and looking out for their best interest in court, what i did i would text him, if it was an important text - HE ALWAYS RESPONDED!!!”
3
Knowledgeable and thorough in preparation for cases
“Mr. Aguilar sure did his homework on my case and brought up evidence that helped my case.. The opposing side was in shock, Mr. Aguilar sure had a field day with them.”
Cons
1
Inconsistent in appearing in court or sending representatives
“He never talk or defend me in court, he let you talk by your self and because of that i loose my case.”
2
Poor communication and responsiveness
“I dont know why he put his personal number in the freaking website if he never answere a sigle call!! and his assistance don't know anything about any case they always said... I will call you back, to answere my question and never call back.”
3
Inability to handle a large volume of cases effectively
“Hired Cesar for business and employment related purposes. No accountability, does not communicate or follow up. Does not respond to calls and e-mails. As a client, you should be well informed for the price paid him but it's the client who kept following up on the case.”

I went to Mr. Aguilar because i had an open case, I went through 2 prior attorneys before Mr. Aguilar, the prior attorneys did not do want I legally wanted in court. Yet, Mr. Aguilar was my voice in court, fought very hard for me, and made smart and intellectual arguments. Mr. Aguilar sure did his homework on my case and brought up evidence that helped my case.. The opposing side was in shock, Mr. Aguilar sure had a field day with them. It was great, through out the process he helped a lot, keep me calm, was always a phone call/msg away, he gives you his personal cell phone number - who does that ?!?! The previous attorneys I had never gave me their personal phone numbers ... He was great from the start, throughout the entire process, and got me the final remedy that I wanted. Very Proud of Mr. Aguilar. Thank you so much, Aguilar! Keep doing you! You are a great and experienced attorney! You sure are a great strong lion in court.

Worst lawyer. Took my money, did absolutely nothing for my case. Would NOT recommend. He did not tell me when court was, I missed all my court sessions. When we were in court, I spoke to the judge myself and he stood there and said absolutely nothing. A real lawyer is there to defend you! He asked for remediation in which more money was to be paid. That remediation did no justice. Horrible business with you Mr. Aguilar. Yet I still wish you nothing but the best. Please learn from this.

A drunk driver hit my car and it was a total loss and I called the insurance company and the person on the case told me “ good luck we aren’t going to give you a cent, sell it for parts or metal” I felt upset and loss of words like if somebody cheated me out of life and a friend told me to call Cesar Aguilar and see what this lawyer can do for me on this case. Long story short I got my car fully covered by the insurance company that told me no at first and a rental car for the time being after hiring cesar it was a blessing worked on my case gave me day to day updates and now I just have to figure out what car I want next... hire this lawyer if you want to win your case.

I am usually a person that does not take the time to make comments nor reviews on things, even for something that is good, but Mr. Aguilar was better than good - he was marvelous!! I am so satisfied with Mr. Aguilar, I hired him to fight my children custody case and he won my custody case!!! ... I read the review below before leaving this review, as per him not showing up to court, maybe the person below did not completely pay him, Mr. Aguilar on the important hearings for me always showed up! .. & yes once in a while for an easy, simple, and fast announcement it is common practice amongst lawyers, not just Mr. Aguilar, that if they're busy on another case, they have another attorney friend stand in for them to make such easy, simple, and easy announcement, but when the important hearings happened, Mr. Aguilar was always beside me, talking for me, representing me, representing the best interest of my children, and he spoke loud and clear, the Judge ruled in our favor - WE WON!!! .. Mr. Aguilar upon hiring him he gives you his personal cell phone number, he does not need to do that, most other attorneys give you only the office number, and off course he is not going to be able to answer his cell phone majority of the time because he is busy representing people in court and looking out for their best interest in court, what i did i would text him, if it was an important text - HE ALWAYS RESPONDED!!! NOT ONE IMPORTANT TEXT MSG WENT WITHOUT RESPONDING ME. I was very impressed by Mr. Aguilar's work. A friend that had hired him on a similar matter referred me to him. My friend is a single mother that feared her children being around her father, therefore, hired Mr. Aguilar and won her case. My friend told me nothing but great things about Mr. Aguilar's work, Mr. Aguilar's ethics, Mr. Aguilar's legal staff (always answered office calls & kept me posted), and Mr. Aguilar's determination to over come issues in order to get you the results you wish. Therefore, I also entrusted my case with Mr. Aguilar and he did not disappoint, not one bit. I am a single Father, that now has full custody of my Children, Mr. Aguilar was able to win my case, show and demonstrate to the Judge why it was in the best interest to be sole and fully with me. I forever will be thankful to Mr. Aguilar, Mr. Aguilar, if you read this msg, you might remember who I am, and I want to say THANK YOU to you again!! THANK YOU! appreciate what you did for me and my children. God bless you sir.

Having dealt with Paul on a past business matter against my company, there was no doubt who I needed to reach when I needed help with my own matter against another. He's aggressive yet professional. Paul is one to have on your team and well worth his fees. Certainly one of the best attorneys I've been associated with.

I was involved in a car accident and had a hard time dealing with the insurance company. I was recommended Mr. Longoria and met with him. He was able to assure me he would fight for all the needs I had after the accident. My case was then resolved very quickly and I was able to receive the financial compensation that I deserved. I have since recommended Mr. Longoria to all my friends and family because he is someone that cares and gets the job done.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Mission, Texas?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
