I am a 32 year appellate and litigation attorney. My wife is an administrative assistant and dental assistant. We consulted with Jnana for our estate planning needs because Jnana has a wonderful reputation in the legal community. As a result of the consultation, my wife and I became estate planning clients of Jnana's. Jnana made the entire experience both efficient and pleasant from start to finish. Jnana provided us with a detailed estate planning questionnaire that was extremely helpful in making planning decisions about the disposition of our estates and ourselves. Jnana followed up her receipt of the answers to our questionnaires with an interview. During the interview, Jnana obtained further information in an effort to make certain that our estate planning documents properly and completely reflected our respective estate planning wishes. I had just signed a lease agreement with my landlord and he then sold the property I live in to an investment company. However, I was never notified from my previous landlord or the new company that they acquired my property. The new owners then wanted to raise my rent by 300 trying to force me to move. I was referred to Jnana by another lawyer who said she’s a good lawyer which was an understatement because she is the absolute best. I never had to reach out to her because she was always on top of everything and kept me informed every step of the way. She is a true angel! At the end she was able to get the new owners to agree to a settlement from our terms and I was satisfied and am able to move to a bigger home with my children and with extra money. I would highly recommend her to anyone with real estate issues and will definitely use her when I look into buying a home.

I was referred to Jnana by my pastor when I had issues selling my home. Apparently something wasn’t right with the deed when I bought the house with my late husband. Jnana was able to look into my problem, contact the parties I needed to resolve issues with, and get the right documents signed in a few weeks. God bless her, I don’t know what I would have done if she hadn’t helped me. My home is now sold, and I still made a profit thanks to her smoothing out all the wrinkles.

Jnana was referred to me by another attorney (that did not practice RE) for a residential real estate transaction. My son purchased a house September 2016, and was told at time of closing that the property taxes "would be completely covered" for that year . Fast forward to this year and DCAD billed him for the entire amount due which was over $2000. Mortgage company and escrow were completely useless! They kept giving us the run around. We knew that something wasn't right, and we just needed someone to help us navigate the massive amount of paperwork given at closing and help us determine what was really owed. Plus what had happened to the money we thought my son had paid to cover taxes? Mrs. Settle was amazing in every way. She was able to break down into layman's terms that was really going on, plus create a plan on how to remedy the situation. I am so glad that we chose Mrs. Settle. She explained to us that the money was indeed owed and the money we paid simply went to the principal at time of closing, BUT she was able to negotiate with the mortgage company who agreed to cover all the taxes. My son ended up owing nothing! I really wish we had taken her with us to the closing. It would have been much easier in the long run. If we had not contacted her my son would have had to pay $2000 or have the property taxes in arrears! One of the things that made us feel like Mrs. Settle is extremely competent is the fact we never had to call her or "stay on her" to see what was being done. If she said she would call on a certain day, she did. We always knew what was going on. Keeping your word and doing things when you say you will, as well doing things in a timely manner is very important to us and she is 5 stars on that.

I sought Jnana's assistance with a matter that was causing me quite a bit of stress. She was able to help me calmly address the issue and provided invaluable advice and insight.
