I’ve hired her to do all 3 of my adoptions and never once regretted it. She’s the best lawyer I’ve hired. I recommended her to my friends looking into adoption and they adopted 2 of their children with Kellye Hughes. Would recommend her a thousand times and a thousand times more.

We retained Ms. Hughes to represent us during the process of terminating parental rights and adoption of our foster daughter. Ms. Hughes was amazing. She called me within a few hours of me leaving a message through her website, scheduled a time to meet with me within a few days, and even arranged her schedule to attend a court hearing within days. She clearly communicated to us the issues at hand, our options and prospects for success. Her fee was reasonable, and she was easy to contact when we had questions. I really can't say enough good things about this lawyer. If you have a family matter you would be well served to consult with this attorney.

We used Kellye Hughes for the intervention of our foster daughter and for our adoption. She was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Her assistant Julie was equally as helpful. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an attorney that really knows their stuff on interventions.

Ms. Hughes ensured I was "kept in the loop" at all times. The good, the bad, and even the scary where all explained to me as things unfolded in a calm and professional manner. DFPS was overlooking a number of inconsistencies in my foster daughters case, and was attempting to place her with a relative. Ms. Hughes discovered a number of facts, including the small fact that the relative was not, in fact, a relative at all, and had a son living within a block of her that is a registered child molester. This, as well as a number of other even more disturbing facts were revealed in court where DFPS admitted to having not done any research into the so-called family member prior to recommending placement to the court. Ms. Hughes recently formalized the adoption of my daughter at court.
Ms. Cobb, Legal Assistant for the Hughes Law Center, walked me through some of the toughest moments of my life. She was VERY responsive at all hours, and calmed me down on a number of occasions. Ms. Cobb is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions in a manner I was able to understand.

You won't find a better attorney than Kellye when your dealing with the most previous things on earth, children!! Most importantly she does this for the right reasons and what matters most, CHILDREN! She is afraid to stand up to anyone and let me tell you, SHE GETS THE JOB DONE AND VERY WELL! I love her and admire her.

In searching for an attorney, our criteria was, "a bulldog that doesn't accept the mediocrity of the status quo." Kellye came recommended by others in our foster care circle and after interviewing her, my husband and I felt quite comfortable. She and Julie were tenacious in their perseverance and just kept pushing and pushing through an anomaly of dysfunction and bureaucracy of a ridiculous system. In the end, they both are considered a crucial part of "our village" and we're very appreciative of the dedication. She's done 3 adoptions for us (including an adult adoption) and who knows ... possibly more in the future. ;)

Kellye goes above and beyond to protect the most volunerable children in our community. We hired her to represent us in the intervention into our foster son's (adopted son) case. I truly believe that without her knowledge, expertise, and passion we would have lost him and he would be growing up in a volatile situation and would most likely return to the foster system later on in life. Kellye fought for our family and we will forever be grateful for the gift she gave us! Kellye is one of a kind attorney!

We were scared and excited about the ups and down of our adoption. Kellie and Julie made it easy for us. They were incredibly aggressive and effective in all processes from what we needed to gather, to the court visits. They helped to push in the removal of parental rights and sped up the final adoption date. I would recommend them to anyone in or out of the state. They put us at ease. For that, we are truly grateful.

We had been foster parents for many, many years and absolutely love caring for children. When false allegations arose and CPS mishandled things, we called on Kellye and her team to protect our foster children as well as our entire family. She is very straightforward and honest, no bologna. She knows her stuff! We are forever grateful to her and her team as she proctected our family and, in the end, finalized our adoption!
