Being in a car accident can be a scary situation. Suffering a hit and run accident is even worse, as you are left with the financial burden instead of the responsible party. BUT not so fast! I reached out to JD Silva & Associates after my accident and they not only educated me on my rights, but preserved them. Beware. Stay away from this firm. Dishonest and unethical business practices. Yesterday morning, we called their office to find out what the approx. cost would be for getting my daughter a "post-nuptial" agreement. They told us the typical cost is $2500. Upon meeting with Shane Kersh (lead partner) yesterday and paying his required $300 consultation fee, he said that his minimum charge for a post-nuptial agreement was $3500 (and the $300 consultation fee does not count towards that amount). So, they did a classic "bait and switch" (dishonest business practice). Afterwards, I called the office to complain about what just happened. Shane proceeded to threaten me on the phone. His specific words were “I better not meet you out in public Mother F@cker!" (Implying a real threat -- He is nuts). I will be filing a complaint with the Texas bar association.
