After recently being arrested for a DWI and Unlawful Carry, I interviewed the Wilder Law Firm. They were the most informative as well as most organized with how you showed you attacked cases like mine. It gave me a lot of comfort and confidence in their process. During this interview they gave me homework to do to be sure I got the best possible results and explained everything to the fullest (because I had 1.7 million questions) and were sure that I knew what to expect moving forward. They got me the best possible outcome. Not only did the unlawful carry charge get dropped which was my number 1 concern, but I did NOT have to get an interlock device on my car which was concern number 2. On top of that, I only received 9 months of deferred probation with 30 hours of community service. I was able to knock all 30 hours out in 7.5 hours because of a 2 for 1 hour deal and a donation to the food bank. I wouldn’t have had the community service at all if I would have completed the homework, they advised I do! This has greatly reduced the stress and anxiety I was having about all of this. I hadn’t ever been in trouble aside from speeding tickets, so I had no idea what to expect. You guys did above and beyond what I could’ve thought was possible to reduce the consequences. This was a massive weight off my chest and has greatly helped me face such a stupid mistake. I seriously cannot thank you guys enough! I don’t know if y’all truly understand the positive impact you guys have made on my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I was arrested for first time DWI with a high BAC in Collin county, TX. I originally hired a ‘big name’ DWI lawyer in Dallas. After 7 months of working on my case, they were unable to get any time taken off the prosecutors original offer. The prosecutor also refused to take my clean criminal record into account and drop my charge to a class b deferred. So I asked around and heard that Doug was the guy who gets things done in Collin County. I decided that a positive outcome was important enough to eat the retainer fee from my first attorney and ended up hiring Doug and the Wilder Law Firm. Based on Doug’s process and relationship with prosecutors in Collin Co, he was able to get my high BAC charge dropped down to a class B deferred - which the first lawyer I hired said was impossible. The prosecutor even gave me credit for some of the time served with the interlock device, based on Doug’s persistence and strategic thinking. Hiring Doug and The Wilder Firm ended up being the difference between having to take a Class A and deal with a conviction forever, vs a Class B deferred where I now have the opportunity to learn from my mistake and move on with life without a criminal record. Doug could have stopped fighting for me numerous times, and nobody would have faulted him based on the circumstances. He never quit on me, and in the end secured an outcome that surpassed all my expectations.
